Sulagpo 2026: When the Rain Didn’t Stop the Fun

Captured during the first day of Sulagpo 2026. It was raining heavily, but it was still amazing because they continued the event despite the circumstances. There was no parade, though, since the contestants would have gotten soaked.

I arrived late at school because the rain was really strong, and I only came to check my attendance. It wasn’t the same as last year’s intramurals, which were very lively and exciting on the first day. Still, I enjoyed it in my own way.

I was with my friend, and we just watched a movie—”Anaconda”—since buying a ticket apparently gave plus points, hahaha. It was really nice to walk around and explore the booths, but unfortunately, it rained hard that morning.

When the afternoon came, the rain finally slowed down, so we were able to visit some booths. Only a few booths were open, but hopefully on the second day, more booths will be available, just like last year.

At around 3:30 in the afternoon, we went to our gym to watch a basketball game. Coincidentally, the team playing was from our department, so of course, we cheered loudly for them, hahaha.

Our throats ended up hurting from all the cheering, but it was totally worth it because they won! It felt like we were the ones playing because we were so happy and excited. That’s just our way of supporting them, since we belong to the same department.
