Hello all Splinterlands and Hive friends. I have recently started this new project where I tell stories based on the Lore of Splinterlands and my own inventions, both of battles and cards. Let me know what you think.

pngegg_1_.png

The long journey home had begun. The three Humans, together with the gnome Supply, had set off to return to Lyveria. The journey was long and in some cases dangerous. But the Three Humans had the blessing of Kron The Undying and Spirit Of The Forest, so they would have nothing to fear... maybe...

.

The Great Pitt: a mysterious chasm dividing the Primordic Grassalands from the lands of the Swamp Of The Living Moss. It sits perfectly in the centre of two of the strangest territories in the Kingdom of Anumun. Last barrier for the Humans, last barrier for the Beasts.

The Great Pitt is a gigantic ravine of unknown depth. Some tales say that the chasm has no certain end. There are various rumours in Lyveria that if you throw a stone into it, you will never hear the sound of it touching the bottom.

It was created in the origin of times by the highest magical authorities of the Kingdom of Anumun, after having banished the most dangerous creatures of the Kingdom to the Grasslands of Primordia. Their intent was to keep the Beasts from approaching the villages adjacent to the Grasslands and thus avoid terror and consternation among the other inhabitants of the Kingdom. It is said that it was a gigantic bolt of lightning that created it, but other legends tell of some kind of meteorite that impacted the ground and opened a gigantic chasm that reached to the centre of the Earth.

Whatever is said about The Great Pitt, it can never be said with certainty to be the truth. All those who have had anything to do with the 'Black Ravine' (as it is called by some of the wandering inhabitants of the Kingdom) do not speak well of it at all, and above all, it is still intimidating. It is not physical presences such as ghosts that worry the travellers, no voices are heard from the ravine. The fear that dwells in the minds of those who have had anything to do with The Great Pitt is an irrational fear, fear of the endless void. What happens if one puts a foot wrong and falls into the ravine? Surely no one can tell, because, assuming it happened, no one has lived to tell the tale.

Golems are part of the Life Universe of the Kingdom of Anumun. They are among the oldest inhabitants of the Kingdom, as well as of the entire Splinterlands. They were there at the time of the First Aggression, as well as at the time of the Second Aggression. They have never left the realm and have always been loyal to Anumun, even when the kingdom of Mortis promised them eternal life in the underworld if they would agree to fight for the dark side of the Splinterlands and betray their kingdom.

They have lived for centuries and centuries north of the Kingdom of Anumun, in the rocky mountains of the Crags Of Maglar, exactly on the opposite side of the Grasslands and The Great Pitt.

They are huge beings, wise and also good. Good, yes, at first glance you wouldn't think so. Anyone who has encountered a Golem around Anumun has been startled by the encounter, until they realise that Golems are actually peaceful and quiet. They are scary, yes, but they are good.

They don't usually move from their abode, but on occasion it has happened that some Golem has become trapped in some other territory of the Kingdom....

Lagfael, Lord of Darkness
)

Lagfael, that is how the Lord of Darkness is known among the inhabitants of the Splinterlands. A mythical and divine creature, one of the 6 creators of the Splinter. Something purely infernal, diabolical. Gifted with unspeakable powers, black magic. A beast capable of Flying to move swiftly through the darkness of darkness. Overlord of the Kingdom of Mortis, he ordered the Kingdom of Anumun to be put to the sword during the era of the Second Aggression. Proud fighter, careful leader. Great general in leading his armies. His fiery whip cracks every opponent in front of him. Hell is his kingdom par excellence, he came out of the centre of the Earth to take Mortis and rule over all dark peoples. He waged war on anyone who shone his own light. His greatest plan was to cast all that was shrouded in light into darkness.

.

Undead Minotaur

Undead Minotaur is a Minotaur who passed to the forces of the Dark Eternals during the years of the Second Invasion. Or rather, he was a Minotaur. Now he is no longer one in his original form. He, and other specimens of his and other races, sold their souls to Lagfael, Lord of Darkness.
Of the Minotaur as we know him, he retains only a few characteristics, such as his body structure. Everything else changes, for the worse. Undead Minotaur is a nomad, like normal Minotaurs, but unlike them, who hunt Rexxies to feed on their flesh, Undead Minotaurs hunt everything. Whatever comes their way becomes good for killing. Sometimes they have the task of visiting the Humans of Lyveria or the Goblins of Gobson who have sold their souls to the devil or who have made a pact with darkness. Thus, they rarely leave the Black Forest to go and welcome the new proselytes of darkness.

The strange shimmering in the distance was very bizarre to the Humans, yet they did not fail to question what they were perceiving.

"What on earth is that?" asked FInnerick.

" It looks like something that glitters, which is quite strange... considering where we are..." replied Sinder.

" Something shiny, but what?" asked Finnerick.

" I have no idea Finn!" replied Sinder.

It was indeed very strange. They were in the black lands of The Great Pitt, where every living form they knew was no longer the same. What on earth could be that strange shimmer they saw in the distance?

" But it moves!" said Finnerick.

" No, I don't think so... I think it's an optical illusion," replied Sinder.

" What if it's a trap?" said FInnerick.

" But why should it be?" asked Sinder.

" Boh, maybe they want to trick us!" said Finnerick.

" But who would want such a thing?" asked Sinder.

" I don't know..." replied Finnerick vaguely.

It was indeed a very strange situation, but the Humans certainly couldn't know what that strange glint was without getting close to it. They were too far away to really understand the situation.

So they decided to continue in that direction until they reached the source of that shimmer, only there would they decide what to do.

"What if it's something bad?" asked Finnerick.

" Like what?" retorted Sinder.

" Like some reflection of some weapon or armour of some unclean being like that heck of an Undeed Minotaur!" replied Finnerick.

"I don't think so... it wouldn't be so static... this looks more like a light source," replied Sinder.

Indeed, as the Humans proceeded, as they got closer and closer to that suspicious glint, they could actually discern its intermittent nature.

The glint was intermittent, or at least, that is how it appeared to them. It looked like a light turning on and off, intermittently.

" Strange..." said Finnerick.

" Yes, it is..." replied Sinder.

" Shall we continue?" asked Finnerick.

" Sure, Finn! remember that in 1 hour the sun will go down and we will be shrouded in darkness in this dreadful place?" asked Sinder sarcastically.

" Yes, I remember it well Sinder!" said Finnerick.

Finally the Humans arrived in the vicinity of that glow. It was strange, it was very strange. However, it was more than a single source, it looked like many tiny lights turning off and on.

"Finn! I understand!" said Sinder.

" What did you realise?" asked Finnerick.

" I get what I am!" said Sinder.

" Well, do you want to keep me on my toes all the time or would you like to finally spill the beans?" asked Finnerick.

" They are simply fireflies!" said Sinder.

Pronouncing this sentence, Sinder started to approach what looked to all intents and purposes like fireflies.

"Hey Sinder! Wait!" Finnerick stopped him.

" What?" asked SInder.

" Don't you find that strange? Anumun fireflies in the middle of this place?" said Finnerick.

" Well, actually... I didn't think of that... they shouldn't be there... " said Sinder.

" Then go easy, don't rush..." said Finnerick.

"You're right," said Sinder.

So the Humans slowly approached the fireflies to try and figure out what they were doing there.

Suddenly they noticed a trunk, above which the fireflies were flying.

The Great Pitt: una misteriosa voragine che divide le Primordic Grassalands dalle terre dello Swamp Of The Living Moss.

The Great Pitt è un gigantesco burrone dall'ignota profondità.

" Finn! Ho capito!" disse Sinder.

" Cosa hai capito?" chiese Finnerick.
