Hello everyone! Check out my battle challenge entry for this week.

Zombie Attack (The Power of the Animated Corpse)

A fledgling Dark Eternal is also known as an Animated Corpse. Emerging from the Tar Pits of Creation in the Southern Waste of Mortis, each fledgling must first shed what remains of its mortal flesh. While in decay, the Animated Corpses are placed on the front lines to speed their transition.

Animated Corpse is one of my favorite tanks especially on low mana battles, I have been doing this lineup to counter magic spammer, but I try to be flexible and adjust based on what I have scouted on my opponent, but for low mana battles Animated Corpse is definitely number 1 or number 2 on my list together with if I will use Bortus.

Here is the battle: (shoutout to my opponent)

Weak Magic Ruleset: Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing health.
Protect, Repair, Rust is useful in this ruleset. Beware the opponent could choose only Melee and Ranged monsters, so keep a tank with Shield.

(honestly bone golem can be much useful on this ruleset however based on the mana, I have chosen Animated Corpse over it)

• I did not expect him to use Oshannus(water legendary reward card), I know he is spamming water but did not see the Oshannus, so I actually thought for a moment that I will lose the match. He got the void and most of my card is magic attacker, but I got the void too though and I saw that my Haunted Spider will be able to attack for 4 rounds since his sneak only has 1 damage, if it was 1 damage higher I will surely lose the match.

DJINN OSHANNUS
Dawn of the Djinn 3 of 4 - The Djinn are angry at the way they were tricked by the Planet, but also appreciative that they can now enjoy this limited freedom, each trapped by natural forces. The Djinn possess powerful ancient magic of their own, which is now charged into the force of one element for each of them. The ancient demons of war are an awkward bunch to be chosen as a planetary defensive force, but they are also impressively capable of the job. As long as they are bound by the Planet, they will do its bidding. Whatever their would-be choices and allegiances, they will fight against the Chaos Legion to protect the sixth mana gate.

Reduced damage from Magic attacks.
Attack damage gets halved (rounded up), except attack 1 which deals 0 damage.
Summoner Mimosa Nightshade gives this ability to every friendly monster at the start of a battle

Round 1

• Actually I got lucky on round 1 that the poison did affect the Oshannus by the way, if you check my matches if I play death in low mana games, I actually always want to have that poison and that affliction, and weaken, I focus on giving negative buff to enemies, because I think it is the best offense, and also I really hate heal especially in low mana, just imagine if he has crustacean king and I don't have that affliction and poison and instead go with the traditional snipe/sneak death combo (which is really helpful in lower league for low mana battles).

Attacks have a chance to apply poison, which does automatic damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied.
The Poison ability is triggered 50% of the time. Poison does damage at the end of the turn and is not affected by shield or void

Round 2

At the start of round two, his Oshannus received 2 damage from the poison immediately. Leaving it with 5 Health, he only damaged 2 Health on my Animated Corpse since I got void, my magic attack has no damage on his tank (Oshannus), but my Haunted Spider and Animated Corpse did 4 damage to his tank (Oshannus) enough to bring it to 1 Health at the end of round 2 (I am actually thankful no one missed their attack)

(pretty sure his Oshannus will die at the start of round 3, I smell victory!)

Round 3

The beginning of the end, Oshannus died, and I am not sad, actually once his Oshannus is gone the victory is secured. Everything fell down like a domino, and Voila we got the win!

Animated Corpse is not a bad tank for my opinion especially against magic in a low mana battle, as you can see it had fought with the Oshannus toe to toe, even though he is not the main reason of why the Oshannus died, he is the main reason that Oshannus did not rally and killed my team. I can only deal damage to him through Haunted Spider and Animated Corpse(of course poison).
