Big news for #Splinterlands players! The recent change to soulbound rewards cards was introduced with part of the goal being to reduce incentives for bot farming and it appeared to be effective at first, causing daily battle levels to drop lower than they've been in 6 months.

But wait, there's more to the story. It now appears that daily battle levels have returned to pre-soulbound-rewards-card-change levels. Are the bot farms back in action? Are they just waiting for the soulbound rewards cards to become sellable?

Yes, the current Rewards cards (cards earned via Daily Focus Chests and Season Chests) are Soulbound to the user. They should unlock at some point, but how you can make them transferrable will likely require staking dec and will only be possible once these are out of print

Nice to know... I think even if it didn't do anything to Bots, I believe it's a good decision for these cards value.

Yeah - I totally agree.
If anything it makes it so that the people still playing (whether through automation or not) are doing so because they have a long term belief in the future of the game.

What started out as an effective change to reduce bot farming in #Splinterlands may not have been quite as successful as it appeared. Time will tell as we continue to monitor the impact of these changes on the goals of incentivizing players to pool their assets in fewer accounts.
