A 23 Mana Cap Battle in Three Rulesets.

Hi, today I'm about to write a post featuring a battle with three ruleset from analyzing a top battle from diamond league in modern format and its a 23 mana cap battle.

This battle is between Justenjoy and Iconicghost where Justenjoy won the battle.

A little info about the battle:

With Immortalis as summoner, Justenjoy used six monsters which are: Failed Summoner, Halfling Alchemist, Queen Mycelia, Doctor Blight, Grenadier, Acid Shooter.

And with the same Immortalis as summoner, Iconicghost also used six monsters which are: Failed Summoner, Khmer Princess, Queen Mycelia, Acid Shooter, Doctor Blight, Grenadier.

Battlefield Review - Battle Link

Keep Your Distance	Reverse Speed	Ferocity
Monsters with melee attack may not be used in battles	Monsters with the lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks	All monsters have the fury ability.

There's no melee attackers in this battle because of keep your distance ruleset. And the speed things will work backwards for the reverse speed ruleset. The ferocity ruleset provided fury ability to all monsters but its no use as there's not monsters with taunt ability because monsters with taunt ability gets double damage from monsters with fury ability.

Then all monsters in the battle lost 1 health from their opponent summoners buff and got void and shatter ability from their own summoners buff.

Failed Summoner is chosen as the tank monster in both team which don't have any attacks on its own. They won't attack directly but they'll return damage to magic attacks as they have magic reflect ability.

And both Failed Summoner has demoralize ability that reduce melee attack of opponent teams melee monsters but there's no melee monsters in this battle for Keep Your Distance ruleset so this ability is of no use. Justenjoy used Failed Summoner in bigger level that offers strengthen ability that the other Failed Summoner don't offer and this ability gives extra health to all friendly monsters.

Justenjoy used Halfling Alchemist that has halving ability and this ability cut target's attack in half each time this monster hits a target and this monster has redemption ability so when this monster dies, it does 1 damage to all enemy monsters.

Iconicghost didn't use Halfling Alchemist but it used Khmer Princess which is not in the team of Justenjoy. This princess has tank heal ability that will restore a portion of the monster in the first position's health each round and its triage ability heals the friendly back-line monster that has taken the most damage.

So it's about the first two monsters of each team, there are still four monsters in each team and both teams used same four monsters in same level just in different position.

Queen Mycelia offers protect, amplify, triage and rust abilities where protect gives +2 Armor to all friendly monsters, amplify increases magic reflect, return fire, and thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1, triage heals the friendly back-line monster that has taken the most damage and rust reduces the armor of all enemy monsters.

Doctor Blight offers affliction, camouflage, poison, scavenger and weaken abilities where affliction has a chance on the target causing it to be unable to be healed, this monster cannot be directly targeted for attacks unless it's in the first position for camouflage, poison does automatic damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied, gains 1 max health each time any monster dies for scavenger and weaken reduces the health of all enemy monsters.

Grenadier offers oppress, snare and blast abilities where oppress does double damage when attacking an enemy that has no attacks, when attacking enemies with flying, removes the flying ability and cannot miss for snare and does additional damage to monsters adjacent to the target monster for blast.

Acid Shooter offers scattershot, cripple and poison abilities where ranged and magic attacks hit a random enemy target for scattershot and it's targets loses one max health for cripple.

The Battle

The first attacks of Queen Mycelia from both team landed on Failed Summoner of the opponent team and there it looked funny when both Failed Summoner evaded the damage with void ability but returned damage to the attacker and both attackers lost health. I mean, you attack and only you get damaged in return.

Doctor Blight from both team attacked Failed Summoners on their opponent team and applied poison and also got returned damage for magic reflect. Then Grenadier from both team did double damage on both Failed Summoners using oppress ability as the targets were non attackers and there Iconicghost lost their Failed Summoner but Justenjoy didn't lost theirs cause it had one increased health.

Both Doctor Blight gained +1 health for this kill and if it hadn't happened then Doctor Blight of Justenjoy would die in the next attack of Acid Shooter but Doctor Blight of Iconicghost died and all monsters of Justenjoy got the lost health back that they lost for weaken ability of the opponent Doctor Blight.

Khmer Princess used tank heal and healed herself and also used triage and healed Queen Mycelia and then attacked Failed Summoner although it was evaded and the princess got return damage. Failed Summoner of Justenjoy died at the beginning of the next round because it was poisoned in the first round by opponent's Doctor Blight and because this monster died, all monsters of Justenjoy lost the extra health they got for strengthen ability.

Grenadier of Justenjoy attacked Khmer Princess where the princess died and the next monster of Iconicghost died as well which was Queen Mycelia. Doctor Blight of Justenjoy kept gaining +1 health for each kill and now Iconicghost had only one monster that could attack as the other monster was at first place which was a ranged monster.

After Queen Mycelia of Iconicghost died, all monsters of Justenjoy got back 2 armors that they got from protect ability of their Queen Mycelia and lost it at the beginning of the battle for the opponent Queen Mycelia's rust ability.

Grenadier of Iconicghost took a chance of attacking and attacked Halfling Alchemist and Queen Mycelia of Justenjoy using range and blast attacks but both targeted monsters had armors so they lost only the armors and got spared. Then Acid Shooter of Justenjoy attacked the other Acid Shooter and the targeted monster died after getting poisoned.

And at last, Doctor Blight attacked and killed the last enemy monster after Queen Mycelia tried. So, yeah Doctor Blight of Justenjoy did the last attack and went for victory.

Justenjoy earned a lot of things for winning this battle.
