How to play Splinterlands in your mobile phone

Hello Jabeelievers!

Here I am again for another installment of my Social Media Challenge post for our favorite game Splinterlands. In this post, we will discuss how to play Splinterlands in our mobile phones. Now that the Splinterlands mobile app is deprecated by the team as they focus on designing the mobile version of the website, we need an alternative way to play SPL. Because, lets face it, mobile phones are still the most accessible way of playing games. We will use the Hive Keychain mobile application with its browser features to play Splinterlands and possibly, other HIVE and blockchain games.

Hive Keychain is a mobile wallet application for the Hive blockchain. It also has a browser extension for HIVE DApps. It allows us, Hive enthusiasts, to manage our funds and cryptocurrencies in a secure and convenient way. With the newest version 2.0, Keychain features a major UI makeover and quality of life changes. You don't have a Keychain yet? Don't worry I'll cover it here too.

Installation

Keychain installation is easy. Just follow these steps:

1. On your mobile phone's Appstore or Playstore, search for Keychain.
   
   
   
   
2. Choose 'Hive Keychain' and Install.
   
   
   
   
3. Once installed, you can now open it.
   
   

Setting up an account

For setting up an account, you will need to setup a PIN first to secure your application.

1. Choose 'Existing Account'.
   
   
   
   
2. Enter your desired PIN.
   
   
   
   
   
3. Confirm your PIN.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Enter your HIVE username without the '@' and enter your private key. You can use the
   button to enable the QR Camera and scan your account in the Browser Extension (if you have one).
   
   
   
   
   
5. Congratulations, you can use Hive Keychain!
   
   
   
   
   

Using Keychain to play Splinterlands

1. To play Splinterlands, you just need to open the browser icon below the app.
   
   
   
   
   
2. On the search bar, type the Splinterlands website.
   
   
   
   
   
3. Login with Keychain and you can now play, Amazing right?
   
   
   
   
   
4. One amazing feature of Keychain Mobile 2.0 is that, it now has a Mobile and Desktop View.
   
   
   

The mobile view gives you a small viewpoint which is good for mobile-ready websites (not Splinterlands of course, at least not yet).

For the desktop view, it allows us to zoom through the website for a larger and wider view.

Closing
