I Am Enjoying My Guild Brawls
And You Should Enjoy Yours Too

Hey hey hey!

Whenever I spent all of my energy in playing Modern Ranked Battles, I get bored and sometimes buy the energy so I can play more. Only to lose consecutively and waste the energy bought. I should just rage quit and give it a rest for the day. But I am happy that I can enjoy other things in game. And one of those is the Guild Brawls.

Guild Brawls

Guild Brawls is a feature in Splinterlands where Guilds are matched against each other in a tier-based and three-staged battle. Go to Play and choose Guild Brawls to participate in your Guild's brawl.

Tiers

Guilds are separated by Tiers. Each Tier has different lineups of Frays. Frays have different rules, brawlers should adhere to. It tells brawlers to play in a particular League (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond), Foil (Regular or Gold), Format (Modern, Wild, Alpha, Beta, All Cards). For example, Fray #1 has Novice League, Regular Foil, All Cards rules. Each Tier differs in the number and difficulty of Frays. As of this writing, there are only 5 Brawls Tiers. See the table below for the details.

Tier 5

The higher the Tier, the higher the prize. Prizes are given as Merits and Splintershards (SPS). The amount of SPS is based on the percentage of the monthly prize pool.

To determine your Guild's Tier, you can ask your leader or go to Buildings and choose Arena. Look at the number of stars beside the Tier.

This guild's tier is at Tier 3.

Stages

Guild Brawls are consists of three stages - Preparation, Combat and Result Stages.
Preparation Stage
The Preparation Stage lasts for 48 hours. Here, brawlers can pick the Fray they want to participate in.

Combat Stage
In Combat Stage, brawlers submit the teams in each battles. A Fray can have 1 or more battles depending on the number of players who actually signed in for that fray during the Preparation Sage. If your opponent failed to sign in in a Fray, it is an automatic win for you. This is the reason why you gain points even if the battle doesn't start yet.

Results Stage
This is when the results in each battle is posted and the rewards are distributed. The rankings are determined by:
#1. Total points earned by the guild
#2. Fewest losses
#3. Guild rating/ranking at the start of the brawl (guild rating is the sum of the ranked ratings of all guild members)
#4. Random

Why Should We Enjoy The Brawls

Competitive Spirit

image.png

Aside from rewards we get from it, Guild Brawls is another way to fulfill your competitive spirit. It brings out the battler in all of us. Battling in a league you're comfortable with gives us a sense of achievement and confidence in that league.

Camaraderie

Guild brawls bring guild members together. It gives us pride and joy to our Guild. Of course, it is not always victory. Our guild encourages us to do better next time in case of a loss.

Gladiator Cards

Guild Brawls allows you to play and build your Gladiator cards. These cards are exclusive to the Brawls although it an be used in Ranked play if you use a Summoner with the Conscript ability. The special thing about Gladiator Cards is it has Bloodlust. An ability that increases the card's stats when it successfully kills an enemy.
