Retaliate Can Now Be Amplified

Greetings fellow Splinterplayers!

As I was doing my battles on a scholar account, I stumbled upon something I thought was a bug. Here is the scenario, The melee attack on my Diemonshark is only at 6 and the health of the Xenith Monk is at 7. Looking at this, my Diemonshark shouldn't be able to kill the monk. But when my Diemonshark retaliated against Xenith Monk, it killed the monk giving 7 attack damage. Retaliate gets a +1.

My opponent and I later found out that this is because of Amplify.

Amplify Buffs Retaliate

According to support.splinterlands.com, this is the new definition of Amplify:

So Amplify is applicable not only to Magic Reflect, Return Fire and Thorns, it is also applied on Retaliate and Corrosive Ward. For a long time Splinterlands player, this is a surprising change. We've been used to amplified Magic Reflect, Return Fire and Thorns but not to amplified Retaliate and Corrosive Ward. But it still makes me wonder why it is not applied to Backfire.
