Sharing my Brawl Achievement

In the last brawl, our guild - Chao's Dragons reached the Top 1 position in Tier 3. However, this brawl we didn't reach even Top 3. Probably because @davethegreat didn't give his best this brawl. On a lighter note, my performance this brawl is so great, I finally get to win ALL of my frays with 9-0 final score GOLD league Modern. Not to brag or anything, but onichan Dave promised me if I get 4 consecutive no-loss wins, he will treat me to Disneyland (or at least recognize me as a good brawl player)

My Achievement

Getting these wins are no easy feat. First, I gotta rent some cards as I don't have Gold league cards. Next is I gotta formulate some strategies in order to outwit my opponents. So in this post, I will also share my thinking process on some of the frays I battled on.

Sneak Punishment Strategy

This fray's rulesets are Taking Sides: No Neutrals, Heavy Hitters: Knockout Abilities for all and Super Sneak: Sneak ability for all Melee. The strategy I came up with involves placing Cursed Windeku at the back to punish sneakers with Thorns. This served me well as my opponent used melee monsters with Daigendark Surveyor as the tank. He probably thought I'd go for a Water magic strategy.

Kelya VS. Possibilus in Lower Mana Cap

Sometimes using Possibilus with Isgald Vorst isn't the best option in a Stampede Ruleset battle. In this battle, I opted for Kelya because of the limited Mana Cap of 22. I also used Noa the Just as the tank thinking my opponent would also use Kelya. Rust served me well but it's Merdalii Guardian's Repair that helped me protect my backline against my opponent's Isgald Vorst.

The Relenor Cleaver Experiment

This one is a bit of an experiment as I opted for Relenor Cleaver as a tank because of the absence of Diemonshark and Coastal Sentry. It worked in my favor but got me nervous with my opponent's Magic-filled Obsidian line-up. Good thing one of the ruleset is Weak Magic and Merdaali Guardian guarded my tank well with Repair.

Outplaying Magic Lineup with Immortalis

Funny thing about this battle, I never thought my opponent would use a Magic filled setup with Delwyn Dragonscale summoner. I just thought it's time to use Immortalis with Quora as a front tank and Mycelic Slipspawn as back tank. This line-up worked pretty well with an all heal entourage of Tank Heal and Triage monsters.

Lurking Puffer For The Win!

I love how Lurking Puffer debuffs magic with Silence ability in Gold league. I often abuse this monster in cases my opponent will use magic monsters.
