Wow! What a game - My introduction to Splinterlands

I have in the past dabbled in such games as Magic the Gatherin and other deck builders, but simply didn't have the patience to work through the strategy component of it all.
I guess age mellows us and allows us to focus more.

I am 49 years old and have recently dived into the crypto space. I am also an avid gamer and have been for some 40 odd years. When i heard about such things as play to earn, where you could actually earn crypto/money for playing games i immediatley investigated. It was during this investigation that i came across Splinterlands.

Holy Crap! This was something that i have been looking for for quite some time. Not only is it an awesome deck builder, but it also gives you the opportunity to earn some realy money through the holding of their cards which are actual NFT's.

What the hell? A game that for just a $10 outlay (only if you want to play the quests and get the rewards), gives you the opportunity to own these cards, Rent them out or sell them on the market. I have forked out $100 a pop on a game for the pc or playstation or xbox and enjoyed the hell out of it for a couple of weeks and then it gets stashed in a drawer or pushed aside on the hardrive and forgotten.

Splinterlands has enabled me to fork out a small percentage of what a standard games costs and gives me the chance to not only earn that cost back, but double, triple or who the hell knows how many times, my money back. Not only that. It's a frigging awesome game. The strategy involved is brilliant. The rewards are awesome when you score them and the community is brilliant.

For anyone who has been umming and arrring about whether or not to get into this game? Do it. you will not regret it.
