Burning Requires A Rethink Beyond Contemporary Design

The Voting down of the Burning proposal is a reflection as to the current Player expectations.

  1. Lack of Guaranteed Rewards
As pointed out by @bjangles during the recent @thepeoplesguild BattleRoyale! where the DEC burn at least guaranteed Guild Points irrespective of winning a prize or not.
The current proposal makes it all seem like a lottery.
Perhaps, having a guarantee of something like GuildPoints, can make it all feel worthwhile.

  2. Focus on fulfilling the Roadmap
There's been a promise made to set the focus upon fulfilling promises made.
Land 2.0 & Player Experience will be seen as achieving this outcome.
New players provide a natural Chaos Legion card and pack sponge.
Having cheap cards is potentially an unexpected benefit to the ecosystem to enable new entrants a pathway into the game.
I know from recent experience, having played a new account that it required cards, SPS delegation and perseverance to grind for days to earn my first Season chest.

  3. Land Based Promo Card(s)
As @davemccoy posted in Mav chat asking if a Land Promo should be forthcoming.
It definitely would coincide nicely with a Grain Market release or other Land development.
Just like, Merits in Rewards chests, a Land Promo, or series of Land cards, may push people into the Land sphere of the game.
    That would encourage more involvement.

  4. Burning of Significance
It was laughed at during the show, by @viru5 , @Hepthorn (cosplaying), @bjangles, @stever82 & the enigmatic @cryptomancer as to the futility of burning cards nobody wants - excluding the game winning Hardy Stone Fish!
As pointed out during the show, articulated by @viru5 & @hepthorn; What is the Burning aiming to accomplish?

  5. Burning Chaos Packs
With the millions of packs available is there a mechanism of encouraging them to be burned?
That way, it can reduce the chance of any new cards from a pack to be put into circulation.
However, as pointed out by @stever82, why wouldn't a person open up packs to profit by Gold cards?

With all of these possibilities, concerns and contemplations, maybe the Burning either needs to be redrawn to appease a variety of opinions & expectations.
Or maybe it needs to be done once the Key Objectives have been fulfilled.

There's much goings on in the greater crypto world.
Could an improvement of Player Experience lead to a natural consumption of cards as New Players enter?
The next phases of Land too can promote further card and DEC sinks.

Whatever happens, it's a great place to be.
A great Time in History to experience all things Splinterlands!

Vonak!
