Winter Splinter

And here I was just looking at the Splinterlands map.

Up there, in the top right hand corner is the Frost Giant's lair, and Mount Meldor.

There I was wondering that the place would be cold, frozen and harsh.

It could even deem itself a whole new Splinter - Winter Splinter.

Then there could abound some new card types, monsters, and summoners.

Monsters

There are a number of real, and mythical, creatures that can surge from the mount.

Snow Wolf, Yeti, Ice Dragon, Yuki-Onna, Ice Wizards/Witches, Ice Abominations, Rock Golems, Cloud Spirits & so on.

YUKI-ONNA uki-onna, translated as "snow woman," is said to be the spirit of a beautiful woman who perished in the snow. She is associated with winter. Her method of killing varies with the legend. Some say she leads travelers astray, leaving them to die of exposure in the cold. Others say she'll cause snowstorms to freeze travelers to death. source

Summoners

Ice Kings, Snow Witches, Mountain Shamans, Warriors and Splitters of Mountains can bring their powers to battle.

Abilities

Some ideas come to mind as to the effects of the cold.

Slow

Creatures speed reduces everytime that they are hit.

Splash

Similar to Blast, but speed is also reduced to monsters who are hit by the splash.

Ice Shield / Ice Shatter

Reduces, or nullifies, any Blast damage to be taken. The cold provides protection.
Also, Ice Shield, causes "Slow" retaliation.

Concluding Remarks

There's much bredth and depth to explore when contemplating the Ice Splinter. This was just a small thought exercise about new attacks, Summoners and Monsters.
