I will show you some of the games I used Dragons, I use them for 2 reasons, both for the high power of the cards, especially the high cost ones, and for the ability to combine with another type and spend little on it on rentals.

Use 2 summoners for modern mode, they are:

CAMILA SUNGAZER lv2

Interesting power, especially in melee monsters-only challenges or against opponents that use tarsa.

QUIZ THE DEVIOUS lv2

Very good in general use, because of the extra speed, in addition to being good against ranged dmg life decks, and games with anti-melee rule.

Monsters

Naga Brute

Medium cost and 2 skills, void armor and thorn, general tanker.

Chaos Dragon

Magical dmg, blast skill, flying skill, high cost, really good option to manacap 40+

Void Dragon

2 skills, Flying and void, good option against earth decks, and with the earthquake rule, reallly low cost and high hp and speed, insane monster and low cost to rent.

The vigilator

Could atack in 2 positions, 1º position and the other, really good with closed ranged rule, could atack 4 times (2 melee and 2 ranged) in first position, and could attack 4 times too with the sneak or opportunity rule.

Carnage Titan

Double strike, reach skill, high combination of armor and HP, could be used in high manacap matchs.

Naga Asssassin

Low cost, high speed and HP, low cost to rent and could fix the manacap curve.
