Happy New Years Splinterlands!

It's great to have been here almost a year now. I've decided this is the perfect time to talk a little bit about what I want to do, my plans, goals, and experiences with Splinterlands!

I love Splinterlands, we've had our ups and downs with valuation, SPS, updates, and disagreements on developer decisions here and there, but overall I am a huge fan of the game, the game's potential, and the future of its tokens.

With the market downtrend lately, I know a lot of people are a little worried about the project, and crypto in general. this happens though.

What are my goals for Splinterlands?

My goals for Splinterlands are quite broad, and so I've decided to break them down into simple headers. This will make it a little bit easier to digest... I will give a TL;DR though here:

1. Accumulate SPS
2. Build Splinterlands Assets, from a Gaming rather than Investing standpoint.
3. Reach Gold Natural CP on my Main Account and Silver Natural CP on my Alt
4. Build an SPT/ONEUP Stockpile for meaningful Upvotes for the community
5. Build a new Alt Account specifically for Giveaways and Delegations
6. Reach Mav Status, this isn't really a priority though

What are my goals for DEC?

• Accumulate DEC around the bottom of General Sale
• Accumulate around 20-40k DEC for Guild Levels
• Utilize DEC for acquiring more SPS
• Avoid DEC as an investment, use strictly for gaming needs

I don't think I believe DEC will have the same explosive growth or valuation that it once had. DEC burned a lot of folk who held it up until now, including myself, who held hoping for a last minute recovery and got a little too greedy on the airdrops. Oops! I think that's all pretty obvious now, and most people who plan to hold DEC again after this are doing so for one of two things: SPS or Asset Purchases.

I've sold all of my DEC, after watching it free fall for a while: I plan to buy in a larger chunk of DEC around when the General Sale has kicked off, I believe this will be a great time to buy into DEC, as it reaches closer to its natural peg, while still rewarding SPS. After a certain point, this will make 1 DEC = 1 Airdrop be significantly more valuable than the 300 Airdrop points associated with packs, especially if this DEC is bought around peg. This DEC I will be holding for the above reasons, to accumulate additional SPS, and to utilize it in purchasing Cards, Renting, and Upgrading my guild.

My primary goal is to help my guild fast-track to Item Store Level 2 and Barrack Level 2 sometime shortly after the General Sale, this will require about 40k DEC. I try to be a player first, and an investor second.

My secondary goals are more investment focused, purchasing a large lump sum of DEC in order to hold for the Airdrop, ideally very close to DEC's natural peg. The amount I buy will depend largely on where this number ends up. I will also be purchasing a secondary, small lump of DEC in order to utilize in the ongoing PIZZA:DEC Liquidity pool, in order to increase my daily Pizza and DEC amounts. (These are of course, morbidly low right now, but we gotta start somewhere, right?)

I do not believe in DEC as a currency on its own, I think it's extremely likely that we will hit natural peg, .001, before the end of the SPS airdrop. Here's the thing though: I am okay with that. I'm not making money off the DEC, I'm using the DEC as a gamer. The earnings come from the airdrop: SPS

What are my goals for SPS?

• Accumulate 10000+ SPS
• Enter Higher Tiered Tournaments such as Gold and Silver tournaments and GF tournaments
• Continue Staking SPS and accumulating Vouchers

Splintershards are where a large deal of the potential within Splinterlands is vested. This is the accumulation phase, there is soooooo much more SPS to print, and that means that SPS will likely not be a stabilized price for some time, however, the printing cycle is currently expected to take 5 years, and many tokens start to rapidly build value as they reach 50% or more printed.

That's right, everybody reading this right now is likely way earlier than they're thinking. This is just the beginning. Of Hive, or Splinterlands, of many of the projects and potential that can be found on Hive.

So Accumulation, Accumulation, Accumulation!

I'm building my SPS through DEC Airdrops, I'm building my SPS through Tournaments, through Staking, through occasional DCA Purchases. I use them to do more, higher stakes tournaments, and I use them to acquire more Vouchers as well!

I place some in Liquidity with SWAP.STATE, I keep some liquid for pump trades, and now, due to the SPS information given to us recently, pretty soon I'll be using SPS to buy into Riftwatchers!

These, along with future use-cases will begin to build up value long-term, and I believe this is the time to squirrel away every darn SPS you can get your hands on, for free or otherwise!

What are my goals for Cards

• Finish a Gold Set of Cards
• Invest into 50-100 CL Packs for a long term HODL
• Treat cards as assets for Gameplay, rather than a hedge against SPS/DEC

As an investor: I was really disappointed in the massive devaluation across all modern sets when CL released in such a small amount. I believed that the scarcity of these sets, and their meta-usage would leave them in good places value-wise when compared to the new cards. I made an error here, believing that scarcity had more valuation than it did, and that cards were not 1:1, or CP:CP, and rather, were based on their own unique valuations.

Learning this, I've decided it might be best to avoid cards altogether from an investment standpoint, as they are simply investments in Collection Power, and by proxy, SPS/DEC, rather than having their own unique valuations. It turned out that many of the cards I believed had unique valuations were simply wrong and the market would equalize when distilled, taking many Epics down from 15-40 all the way to nearly 5-10.

Rather than being a hedge against DEC/SPS volatility, it ended up being more along the lines of halving my gains for the same volatility. This hurt doubly so when the Rental market crashed along with it. Yowch. But live and learn. Buy high sell low as they say!

As such, I will be largely purchasing and acquiring cards primarily for my own use, and for use on my alt accounts. I will certainly be acquiring some cards for long term growth, but I won't make the mistake of thinking that SPS/DEC and Cards are somehow separate values that would hold differently in different market conditions.

I still plan to build a Rental collection, 2 (low) Silver Collections, and a (low) Gold Collection for my main account. I will also be building up a collection for Giveaways and Delegations, in order to giveback more to the community!

Some cards I did not regret buying, as gameplay completely outshined their losses (although some have in fact, appreciated) I will try to emulate these purchases and be more gameplay focused rather than investment focused on my card choices.

What are my goals for Hive Blogging?

• Post 2-3 Posts Weekly
• Resume Seasonal Giveaways and Delegations
• Expand Blogging into other Games and Information

I quite enjoy blogging, and never expected it to be a source of any significant income: I have been wrong.

I plan to continue to blog, making sure to hit 1 Share Your Battle and 1 Social Media Challenge post a week. This should put me at 2-3 Splinterlands related posts per week.

But that's not all, I'd like to continue writing about other games, other projects, and different tribes / tokens here on Hive! I'd like to provide information to others as I research and find new opportunities. Some of these topics will include Hive Hedge Funds, Dividend Tokens, Delegation Rewards, and Liquidity Pools! I'll also write about other blockchains, such as WAX.

But THAT'S NOT ALL. I don't think many of you know, because I haven't done a full introduction post, but I work as an Artist, Illustrator, and Graphic Designer. I'd like to begin to integrate and utilize this within Hive, creating, at the very least, Splinterlands related content for the Art Contests, so hopefully we will see some of those in the future of 2022 on Hive!

What are my goals for SPT / ONEUP

• Build more than 2500 OneUp and 50000 SPT
• Content Curation and Upvote Power
• Delegations to Curators
• Providing Liquidity
• Supporting Splinterlands and Hive Gaming

SPT and ONEUP is sort of an auxiliary part of Blogging and Splinterlands! They each are a staked token which allows a user to upvote and curate other people's content... It is my hope to have a fairly significant OneUp and/or SPT vote by the end of the year, in order to begin a meaningful personal Curation/Upvote system that will benefit and target newcomers to Hive. This will be a long-term process/project until I have a more significant amount of funds, but I hope to be able to benefit everyone around me and begin to reward and encourage the community as well, as Hive and Splinterlands has some of the best communities around!

I will also be acquiring other currencies, but these will likely be delegated to Cartel related curators instead of my own, as I do not expect to accumulate enough of these for meaningful upvotes that help decentralize the Upvotes a bit.
