So, another surprise Splinterlands Speculations for you guys, we got a sneak peak in the Town Hall of two sketches who may or may not be in Riftwatchers, the coming Rewards, or even a future set! I will be talking about my speculations on these cards, their potential abilities, and the splinters they are most likely in. I'm sure I'll be wrong as usual, but you guys like watching me make a fool of myself on Speculations: That's part of the fun!

First, a bit of an explanation: We don't KNOW if these cards will be in any of the sets, they are sketch previews that are being shown, and the art team provides more art than needed so that the balancing stats team can create more balanced card sets without having to 'force' a card into specific stats or types and create lore disconnects like we've seen before. This gives the team more flexibility, and we should see this start to come into effect on the next Rewards set and Riftwatchers!

Water Splinter | Jellyfish Girl | Attacker / Status Inflictor

This is definitely, 100% a Jelly Fish type Nymph/Monster, similar to the creatures we've seen thus far, such as Merdaali and River Nymph... I'm guessing this is an Epic or Legendary card, and I'm going to guess 6 Mana Cost for her, as she looks quite powerful, and maybe some sort of mid mana monster. I think she will have Magic Damage. Of course, I'm assuming this card is more than likely a Water card.

Here's the Stat Spread I would guess:
6 Mana | 2 Magic | 5 Health | 3 Speed

Now let's talk about her potential Abilities:

I think this card will clearly have one of the following abilities: Poison or Stun. These would mimick a Jellyfish's ability to sting opponents, and I'll add a second ability on and say that this card may have Thorns, and reflect damage back on Melee Attacks. This ability combo would be pretty cool, as Water needs some more Stun to capitalize on their Knockout cards, and is very lacking in the Poison department. Having a Poison/Thorns or a Stun/Thorns Magic Attacker would make for an interesting attacker, and it would synergize VERY nicely with Alric OR Kelya. Best of both worlds.

If this monster were a Legendary, I would expect it to get another Ability or two, so I'll take a shot in the dark and say something like Affliction or maybe a Slow.

I see this card taking the place of cards like Medusa and providing a new "status inflicting" magic attacker for modern. This ability spread would also be pretty unique to Water, as Water has very few Affliction, Poison, and Thorns cards. Stun is a bit more popular, but not hugely so.

Okay, but what about the **Art: **

I think this card is gorgeous, I love the frilly shawl that's remniscent of seaweed, jellyfish head is always a huge plus, and she looks SCARY. This is gunna be an awesome card that will likely be either Pinks (ala Jellyfish) or Blues/Greens, (ala Ocean and Seaweed), either way, I'm excited.

Death Splinter | Bat Woman(?) | Mage or Assassin?

This is looking like a Sphinx Cat / Bat type Demon creature. I see armor, wings, and I don't need to know much more to think this is a Dhampir in its transformed state, or possibly a being who creates the Dhampir. I think we're looking at a 7 or 8 Mana monster, and more than likely an Epic or Legendary as well. I'm not sure if this monster would be Magic, Melee, or both.

8 Mana | 1 Magic/Melee | 2 Armor | 7 Health | 3 Speed

Now let's talk about her potential Abilities:

I think this card will clearly have one ability for sure: Flying.
As a Dhampir, or at least, because I think this is a transformed Dhampir, I believe this monster will also have Leech from the beginning, and gain more Vampiric Abilities as it goes on. another ability that could take this place is Scavenge.

As for other abilities, I think we'll see more of a mixed bag here... Maybe a Sneak Ability... or an Evasion / Opportunity Combo... If it ended up being a Magic monster, I would guess a Resurrect or Weaken.

I think this one in particular will have poor stats to begin with, but ramp up very quickly with Speed and Abilities beyond its 1 BCX form

What about the Art though?

I dig it, the long hair, the sphinx cat / bat features, the armored gauntlets paired with a cloak make it ambiguous if it's a rogue or a mage or some sort of fast martial artist. Who knows what this card could be, what we do know is that it appears to have long hair, and appears to be a humanoid Bat / Gargoyle / Demon. I've of course gone with a Bat here in my assumptions, but it could just as easily be a Gargoya over a Dhampir, or a Demon.
