Splinterlands Battle Strategy: Countering Mylor, Unicorn Mustang, and Wood Nymph

Hello y'all, Janks here! Today, I'd like to share a strategy that I like to use to counter the Earth splinter Mylor (thorns), Unicorn Mustang (reduce magic damage), and Wood Nymph (healing). If you're in Silver, this will be a nice, cheap way to counter the ever-present Mylor.

First things first, use the Death splinter Zintar Mortalis (reduce melee attack). This will help make your opponent's Unicorn Mustang less effective and protect your front line.

Second, you need to use a card with the Affliction ability (anti-heal). If your mana cap is very low, use Undead Archer. If your mana cap is high, use Grim Reaper. It also wouldn't hurt to use both, since the application of Affliction is based on chance. Not being able to stop your opponents frontline healing can blow up this whole strategy.

To fit out the rest of your team, I would use Haunted Spirit (healing) or Bone Golem (magic protection) in the first position to tank hits, while you destroy your opponents front line. I sometimes use Shadowy Presence as a second position tank as insurance to protect my ranged backline. For the rest of your available positions, I would use high damage ranged cards to avoid the magic protections that Unicorn Mustang has.

This versatile lineup should allow you to combat most healing setups. The Earth splinter lineup discussed in this post is by far the most common that I've seen and sometimes use myself.

Thank you all for stopping by for another strategy post! Please leave comments if you have any suggestions on how to further solidify this strategy.

Janks
