This week the battle challenge is again with the water splinter. I recognize that with Kelya it is one of the most powerful, but I have never been very good using it. However it has very powerful and interesting cards among which I would not have this Kulu Swimhunter, a card that I rarely use.

Esta semana el reto de batalla es de nuevo con el splinter de agua. Reconozco que junto con Kelya es uno de los más poderosos, pero a mi nunca se me ha dado muy bien. No obstante tiene cartas muy poderosas e interesantes entre las que yo no pondría a este Kulu Swimhunter, una carta a la que raramente le doy uso.

Let's see a little more this angry octopus. As I have already said, it is one of the cards that I use the least and I find it difficult to play because I don't really like playing with range attack. At the price level, it is currently $0.09 in its normal version and $0.99 in golden foil.

Vamos a ver un poco más este pulpo enfadado. Como ya he dicho es una de las cartas que menos uso le doy y me parece difícil de jugar. Más que nada porqué no me gusta mucho jugar con ataque a distancia. A nivel de precio actualmente se encuentra a 0,09$ en su versión normal y a 0,99$ en su versión dorada.

As we can see in its stats, it costs 4 mana, and it starts with 2 attack and 4 life, which is not insignificant at all. Curiously, it must be one of the few cards that does not have any ability at any level, so if at low leagues I don't use it so much, I imagine that at high leagues this card must disappear completely.

Como podemos ver en sus estadísticas cuesta 4 de maná, y empieza ya con 2 de ataque y 4 de vida, lo cuál no es para nada menospreciable. Curiosamente debe ser de las pocas cartas que no tienen habilidad ni la adquiere en ningún nivel, con lo que si a niveles bajos ya no le doy mucho uso me imagino que a ligas altas su uso debe desaparecer completamente.

In this case the battle conditions were Noxious Fumes and Little League. When there is poison I like to play with fire and its Forgotten One or with death and level 2 Harklaw, but in this case only cards that cost less than 4 mana can be used, so all my first options were ruled out and I had to look for a plan b.

En este caso las condiciones de la batalla fueron Veneno y Liga pequeña. Cuando hay envenenamiento me gusta jugar con fuego y su Forgotten One o con muerte y Harklaw de nivel 2, pero en este caso sólo se pueden usar las cartas que cuestan menos de 4 de maná, así que todas mis primeras opciones estaban descartadas y tuve que buscar un plan B.

Line up

1- Cruel Sethropod
It only costs 3 mana and has 3 shield points and 4 health. I think in these low mana battles it's a really good tank to receive the first attacks.

Sólo cuesta 3 de maná y tiene 3 puntos de escudo y 4 de vida. Creo que en estas partidas de poco maná es un muy buen tanque para que reciba los primeros golpes.

2- Igor Darkspear
The card that should make me win the battle is the next, so I'm looking for cards that have high health and allow me to take an extra round of poison.

La carta que me debería hacer ganar la partida es la siguiente, así que estoy buscando cartas que tengan una vida alta y que me permitan aguantar alguna ronda extra de veneno.

3- Xenith Monk
This is the card that should make me win the battle. With the healing ability it can withstand the poison, I just need to protect it well, so I put it in the middle.

Esta es la carta que debe hacerme ganar la partida. Con su habilidad de curarse puede aguantar el veneno, sólo debo protegerla bien, así que la coloco en el medio.

4- Kulu Swimhunter
The truth is that with this game I just realized that this card is very good for little league battles. It has a good damage and a good life, so it will also take 3 rounds of poison and with 2 damage it will help me a lot.

La verdad con esta partida me acabo de dar cuenta que esta carta es muy buena para batallas de liga pequeña. Tiene un buen daño y una buena vida, así que también aguantará 3 rondas de veneno y con 2 puntos de daño va a ayudar mucho.

5- Pelacor Bandit
When I don't have much mana left, I usually use this card. It has 2 points of damage, good speed and flies, so it could dodge some attacks. It also has the Sneak ability.

Cuando no queda mucho maná esta carta suelo utilizarla. Tiene 2 puntos de daño, buena velocidad y vuela, con lo que siempre puede hacer fallar algún ataque. Además tiene la habilidad de Sneak.

6- Torrent Fiend
This card when there is not excessive mana has to be played. It has a cost of 0 and I'm going to put it the last to protect from possible Sneaks.

Esta carta cuando no hay excesivo maná tiene que jugarse. Tiene un coste de 0 y voy a ponerla al final para protegerme si el rival tiene algún Sneak.

Did my strategy work? As you can see it has gone very well, and it has been easier than expected. I think my line-up has been very good, but above all I think the rival has made a couple of very important mistakes. Despite he has used River Nymph, which is a very important card for battles with poison, I think he has put many cards with 2 or less life points, so in the first round of poison they all were died. And by putting the most important card like the Xenith Monk in the first, it has received all the attacks of my cards and I have been able to kill it easily.

Ha funcionado mi estrategia? Cómo podéis ver ha ido muy bien, y ha sido más fácil de lo esperado. Creo que mi alineación ha sido muy buena, pero sobre todo creo que el rival ha cometido un par de errores muy importantes. A pesar de utilizar a River Nymph, que es una carta muy importante para batallas con veneno, para mi gusto ha puesto muchas cartas con 2 o menos puntos de vida, con lo que a la primera ronda de veneno ya todas murieron. Y al poner a la carta más importante, cómo es el Xenith Monk, la primera, ha recibido todos los ataques de mis cartas y he podido matarla fácilmente.
