Splinterlands: Daily Gold Chest and Thoughts on New Promo Card Zyriel!

Hello everyone! Another day of Splinterlands gold chests. I got two more epics to level up which both have some nice promise. I'll talk about them in another post though. The exciting news is the new promo card coming out! A dual life/death card legendary Zyriel. She looks to be a seriously badass card!

Pricing on Zyriel will be 40,000 DEC plus 160 vouchers, so not inexpensive. I kind of wish they had done her by staked SPS instead of Vruz, but this one you will have to cough up some cash. They are capping her at 15,000 so she's going to likely hold her value very well. She will be ranged with weapons training to add some firepower to those zero attack cards which is great! She's starting with life leach, gaining divine shield and rust at higher levels. She will also produce an 10% boost in certain land terrains for those holding land. To buy a max copy you will need to show up with 440,000 DEC and 1760 vouchers, not an inexpensive investment!

I like the concept of the card being dual splinter. I expect we will be seeing more of these down the line. But at the moment I'm not willing to shell out the cash to pick the card up. I'm sure some of you will and I wish you great luck using her. Thanks for stopping by and reading my post!

Many folks think there are better places for the same price per BCX, like on Dr. Blight.

For promo cards, I think a neutral card like Arkemis the Bear is still a better value that can be used in more rulesets.
