Hello Splinterlands friends, one week I'm with you all to talk about how to get the best out of the Briar Patch battle condition.

This battle condition is relatively new since it appeared 3 months ago in Splinterlands. It is characterized by giving all creatures the Thorns ability, which means that when you hit a creature with a melee attack, the creature you hit takes damage.

Ésta condición de batalla es relativamente novedosa ya que apareció hará 3 meses en Splinterlands. Y se caracteriza por otorgar a todas las criaturas la habilidad Thorns, que hace que cuando golpeas a una criatura con ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, la criatura que golpea reciba daño.

HOW TO GET ADVANTAGE.
Next we are going to list several ways to obtain advantage thanks to this condition:

• First of all we should try to play with ranged or magic attack cards, as we will not be affected with this condition.
• Using creatures with the ability Reflection Shield is also a good option since cards with this ability will not be affected by the condition.
• Another of the abilities that we must use is Amplify any creature with this ability makes the damage we do for the Thorns increase by 1. Cards like Dax Paragon or the summoner Grandmaster Rathe are essential for this condition.

• En primer lugar debemos intentar jugar con cartas de ataque a distancia o mágico, ya que no nos veremos afectados con esta condición.
• Usar criaturas con la habilidad Reflection Shield también es una buena opción ya que las cartas con ésta habilidad no se verán afectadas por la condición.
• Otra de las habilidades que debemos usar sí o sí es Amplify cualquier criatura con esta habilidad hace que el daño que hagamos por el Thorns aumente en 1. Cartas como Dax Paragon o el invocador Grandmaster Rathe son esenciales ante esta condición.
• Si queremos jugar cartas con ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, cuanto mayor escudo tengan mejor, ya que el daño primero impacta en el escudo.
• Si usamos criaturas de ataque a distancia o mágico, nada mejor que potenciar sus ataques con algún invocador como General Sloan u Obsidian.

Nada mejor que ver compartir un combate en el que vemos como hay que actuar ante esta condición de combate y como no debemos actuar. Como se verá más adelante mi rival hace caso omiso a la condición y juega con una estrategia basada en el ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, grave error.

Round 1

In the first turn I lose Soul Fiend as expected due to the Super Sneak condition that also exists. But I manage to eliminate Chaos Agent and Radiated Scorcher thanks to the magic attacks and as you can see the damage received from Thorns increases by +1 thanks to Amplify from Dax Paragon.

En el primer turno pierdo a Soul Fiend como era de esperar debido a la condición Super Sneak que también existe. Pero yo consigo eliminar a Chaos Agent y Radiated Scorcher gracias a los ataques mágicos y como se puede apreciar a que el daño que recibe de Thorns aumenta en +1 gracias a Amplify de Dax Paragon.

Round 2

On the second turn I lose Venari Crystalsmith and I eliminate Ant Miners, my opponent plays Xenith Monk well but I think it won't be enough to destroy my creatures.

En el segundo turno pierdo a Venari Crystalsmith y yo elimino a Ant Miners, mi rival juega bien a Xenith Monk pero creo que no será suficiente para destruir a mis criaturas.

Round 3

In the third turn, my opponent loses Xenith Monk and Antoid Platoon and only has Lava Spider who has nothing to do because he is in first position and cannot attack.

Ya en el tercer turno, mi rival pierde a Xenith Monk y Antoid Platoon y únicamente cuenta con Lava Spider que ya nada tiene que hacer debido a que se encuentra en primera posición y no puede atacar.

Round 4

And finally, in the fourth turn I end up destroying Lava Spider and getting an easy victory due to the mistakes made by my rival.

Y por último, en el cuarto turno termino destruyendo a Lava Spider y consiguiendo una fácil victoria debido a los errores cometidos por mi rival.

My opinion

Playing with Briar Patch is very simple if we follow the recommendations I have listed above. We must use common sense and try to avoid using melee attack creatures at all costs.

Jugar con Briar Patch es muy sencillo si seguimos las recomendaciones que os he enumerado anteriormente. Debemos usar el sentido común e intentar evitar a toda costa el usar criaturas de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo.

As you have seen in the match that I have shared, it is not that I have played spectacularly, but rather it has been mistakes made by my opponent that have made me get the victory.
