What's up Splinterlands friends? One more week it's the turn to analyze a new battle condition in the game. Today we will talk about the Going the Distance battle condition.

As usual, we will start talking about what this battle condition consists of, then we will list a few tips to obtain good results and finally I will share with all of you a battle where you can see everything we have learned previously.

Como es habitual comenzaremos hablando de qué consiste ésta condición de batalla para pasar a enumerar unos cuantos consejos para obtener buenos resultados y finalmente compartiré con todos vosotros una batalla en donde se puede ver todo lo aprendido anteriormente.

What is the "GOING THE DISTANCE" condition?

When this condition is active we can only use monsters with ranged attacks.

Cuando esta condición está activa únicamente podremos usar monstruos con ataque a distancia.

How to get advantage

Let's take a look at a few tips that will be of great help in our battles:

• There are 2 summoners that are highly recommended to use in our fights, they are Quix the Devious or Contessa L'ament that reduce ranged attacks by -1 points.
• There are also cards with ranged attack and also have the ability Headwings. My favorites are Ash Mirage, Naga Windmaster, Anachron Bolter.
• A very recommendable card to use is Drybone Raider that has 2 melee and ranged attacks and can attack 2 times with each of them, it is the perfect card to use against the enemy.
• Using cards with the ability Close Range allows us to attack from the first position with ranged attack monsters.
• If we want to boost any card is a good option to use cards with the ability Martyr, Venari Marksrat is my favorite.
• Finally, if I have to play with the Splinter Water I like to use Swamp Spitter and have the option to repair every turn the shield of our monster in first position.

Cómo obtener ventaja

Veamos unos cuantos consejos que nos serán de gran ayuda en nuestras batallas:

• Existen 2 invocadores que son muy recomendable usarlos en nuestros combates, ellos son Quix the Devious o Contessa L'ament que reducen los ataques a distancia en -1 puntos.
• También existen cartas con ataque a distancia y que además disponen de la habilidad Headwings. Mis favoritas son Ash Mirage, Naga Windmaster, Anachron Bolter.
• Una carta muy recomendable de usar es Drybone Raider que al tener 2 ataques cuerpo a cuerpo y a distancia y poder atacar 2 veces con cada uno de ellos, es la carta perfecta para poder usar contra el enemigo.
• Usar cartas con la habilidad Close Range nos permite atacar desde la primera posición con monstruos de ataque a distancia.
• Si queremos potenciar alguna carta es buena opción usar cartas con la habilidad Martyr, Venari Marksrat es mi favorita.
• Por último, si tengo que jugar con el Splinter Agua me gusta usar a Swamp Spitter y tener la opción de reparar cada turno el escudo de nuestro monstruo en primera posición.

A Battle with "GOING THE DISTANCE" condition

Here you have one of my combats with this battle condition, with a powerful card in first position and that can attack from there. Besides, the rest of the creatures have very powerful ranged attacks and my summoner reduces the attacks of the enemy cards.

Aquí tenéis uno de mis combates con esta condición de batalla, con una carta poderosa en primera posición y que puede atacar desde ahí. Además el resto de criaturas tienen ataques muy poderosos a distancia y mi invocador reduce los ataques de las cartas enemigas.

0		As I said Quix the Devious is the best option to use in this type of combat. Como os he comentado Quix the Devious es la mejor opción para usar en este tipo de combates.
1		In first position I will use Queen of Crows who can attack from the first position and has a lot of vitality. En primera posición usaré a Queen of Crows que puede atacar desde la primera posición y dispone de mucha vitalidad.
2		Second position for Runic Skyclaw with Flying will be able to dodge attacks. Segunda posición para Runic Skyclaw con Flying podrá esquivar ataques.
3		Third position for Dhampir Stalker always hits and his attack is very powerful. Tercera posición para Dhampir Stalker siempre golpea y su ataque es muy poderoso.
4		In fourth position I will put Lira the Dark with its selective attack. En cuarta posición pondré a Lira the Dark con su ataque selectivo.
5		And finally in fifth position I will use Ravenhood Warden who will give me an extra shield to all my monsters. Y por último en quinta posición usaré a Ravenhood Warden que me dará un extra de escudo a todos mis monstruos.

Round 1

In the first turn he destroys Venari Marksrat so my enemy powers Drybone Raider, Queen of Crows suffers the attacks of my enemy but his incredible vitality allows him to survive.

En el primer turno destruye a Venari Marksrat con lo que mi enemigo potencia a Drybone Raider, Queen of Crows sufre los ataques de mi enemigo pero su increíble vitalidad le permite sobrevivir.

Round 2

I have the good fortune to eliminate Drybone Raider on the second turn. From now on, everything becomes easier, my enemy will not be able to attack me with War Pegasus and he only has 2 monsters to attack me, Ajax Lightfoot whose reduced attack will not cause me much damage and Gobson Bomber who will only attack once every 2 turns.

Tengo la fortuna de en el segundo turno eliminar a Drybone Raider. A partir de ahora, todo se vuelve más sencillo, mi enemigo no podrá atacarme con War Pegasus y únicamente tiene a 2 monstruos para atacarme, Ajax Lightfoot que su ataque reducido no me causará muchos daños y Gobson Bomber que únicamente atacará una vez cada 2 turnos.

Round 3

In the third turn I easily destroy War Pegasus and Ajax Lightfoot so I have already won the battle and I only have to wait for the next turn to check my victory.

En el tercer turno fácilmente destruyo a War Pegasus y Ajax Lightfoot con lo cual ya tengo la batalla ganada y únicamente tengo que esperar al siguiente turno para comprobar mi victoria.

Round 4

Finally, on the fourth turn, a hit by Lira the Dark manages to destroy Gobson Bomber and allows me to win this combat.

Por último, en el turno cuarto un golpe de Lira the Dark consigue destruir a Gobson Bomber y me permite ganar este combate.

My opinion

As I mentioned before, it is very important to use a summoner like Quix the Devious in fights with the battle condition Going the Distance. It allows us to have a very significant advantage and sometimes it is essential to win this kind of fights. Do not hesitate to use it.

Como os he comentado es muy importante usar un invocador como Quix the Devious en combates con la condición de batalla Going the Distance. Nos permite tener una ventaja muy significativa y en ocasiones es fundamental para ganar este tipo de combates. No dudéis en usarlo.
