Hello Splinterlands friends, today I wanted to talk to you about how fun and exciting Brawls can be in Splinterlands.

Hola amigos de Splinterlands, el día de hoy quería hablaros sobre lo divertidas y apasionantes que pueden llegar a ser las Brawls en Splinterlands.

Many of you know how clans and Brawls work in Splinterlands, if you want more information you can check the post in which I joined the clan and made a brief explanation here.

Muchos de vosotros sabéis el funcionamiento de los clanes y Brawls en Splinterlands, si queréis más información podéis consultar el post en el que me uní al clan e hice una breve explicación aquí.

At first you are overwhelmed with so much information, slots to choose from, cards needed to build a good collection but in order to be a good Brawls player the most important thing is to have Gladius cards. These cards are extremely powerful, you can only use 1 per combat and they really make a difference.

Al principio te ves abrumado con tanta información, ranuras que escoger, cartas necesarias para montar una buena colección pero para poder ser un buen jugador de Brawls lo más importante es tener cartas Gladius. Éstas cartas son extremadamente poderosas, sólo podrás usar 1 por combate y realmente marcan la diferencia.

Of course, at the beginning you will not have these cards and you will have to get merits to be able to buy Gladius packs. The beginning can be a bit discouraging since our opponents will play this type of cards and sometimes it is very difficult to defeat them, but be patient and little by little you will increase your collection.

Como es lógico al inicio no tendrás estas cartas y tendrás que conseguir méritos para poder comprar packs Gladius. El comienzo puede ser un poco desalentador ya que nuestros rivales nos jugarán éste tipo de cartas y algunas veces es muy difícil de derrotarlas, pero ten paciencia y poco a poco irás aumentado tu colección.

After 6 months of playing I have a very good collection of Gladius cards:

And the best of all is that these cards serve to increase our Collection Power, at this moment I have 2870CP.

Y ahora vamos a lo mejor de todo, los combates.

Combat with Gladiators

The main difference of the Gladius cards is that all of them have the Bloodlust ability, that together with the fact that most of them are authentic beasts both in amount of damage done and in life, turn the combats into true Gladiator battles where we can see truly powerful creatures.

La principal diferencia de las cartas Gladius es que todas ellas tienen la habilidad Bloodlust, eso unido a que la mayoría de ellas son autenticas bestias tanto en cantidad de daño realizado como en vida, convierten los combates en verdaderas batallas de Gladiadores en donde podemos ver criaturas verdaderamente poderosas.

Here you have some examples of my last Brawl played and how are the combats when we put on the board this kind of deadly cards:

Aquí tenéis unos ejemplos de mi última Brawl jugada y como son los combates cuando ponemos en el tablero este tipo de cartas tan mortífero:

In this first battle we only have 20 mana and we must have a powerful creature and at the same time that consumes little mana, my choice is Gorth for 8 mana we have a creature with incredible strength and a lot of resistance. I assumed that the opponent would play Grum Flameblade but its 11 mana points already allows us to play a creature. Putting Lava Spider on the back since any player using Splinter Fire will play Tenyii Striker.

En esta primera batalla solo tenemos 20 de maná y debemos de tener una criatura poderosa y a la vez que consuma poco maná, mi elección es a Gorth por 8 de maná tenemos una criatura con una fuerza increíble y mucha resistencia. Suponía que el rival jugaría con Grum Flameblade pero sus 11 puntos de maná ya nos permite a nosotros jugar una criatura. Poniendo a Lava Spider por detrás ya que cualquier jugador que use el Splinter Fuego jugará con Tenyii Striker.

As you can see in the combat having an extra creature in this case Lava Spider allows us to hit the enemy even once and also protects our Tenyii from the enemy's hits. In addition our Gorth being faster than Grum hits first and gives us an advantage.

Como podéis ver en el combate tener una criatura más en este caso a Lava Spider nos permite golpear aunque sea una vez al enemigo y además protege a nuestro Tenyii de los golpes del enemigo. Además nuestro Gorth al ser más rápido que Grum golpea primero y nos da ventaja.

In this fight I decide to use the Splinter Dragon just to be able to use Carnage Titan and double strike. I also prefer to use Grum instead of a powerful Gladius creature but I do use Sarius for its fast attack and low mana. My decisive card will be Scavo Hireling which if all goes well, will repair the shield of all my creatures which will give me an advantage over the enemy.

En este combate decido usar el Splinter Dragón solo para poder usar a Carnage Titan y doble golpeo. Además prefiero usar a Grum en vez de una criatura Gladius poderosa pero si que utilizo a Sarius por su rapidez de ataque y poco maná. Mi carta decisiva será Scavo Hireling que si todo marcha bien, reparará el escudo de todas mis criaturas lo que me dará una ventaja sobre el enemigo.

As expected, repairing the shield gives me a great advantage that the enemy can hardly solve. In a few rounds the combat is won and also without using a card like Legionnaire Alvar.

Como era de esperar reparar el escudo me da una gran ventaja que difícilmente puede solventar el enemigo. En pocos asaltos el combate está ganado y además sin usar carta como Legionnaire Alvar.

Conclusion

If you get bored of playing the same games over and over again and always facing the same players with the same cards, try joining a clan and discover their battles. I assure you that it will be a new stimulus to keep playing and you will learn much more about strategies and different ways to play with your cards.

Si te aburres de jugar las mismas partidas una y otra vez y siempre enfrentar a los mismos jugadores con las mismas cartas, prueba a unir a un clan y descubre sus batallas. Te aseguro que será un nuevo estímulo para seguir jugando y aprenderás mucho más sobre estrategias y formas distintas de jugar con tus cartas.
