Silent Sha-vi are entities from the shadow realm that take the form of giant snakes. They travel in darkness and shadow as if each dark corner is a gateway that leads elsewhere. They have an appetite for slow and creeping deaths, feeding off the escalating fear of the victim. If you think there might be a monster under your bed, it's probably a Silent Sha-vi.

In the Splinterlands weekly challenge, it's time to talk about Silent Sha-vi, one of my favorite cards of the Chaos Legion edition. We are going to see the good and bad of this card and finally we will evaluate if it is advisable to use it.

En el desafío semanal de Splinterlands toca hablar de Silent Sha-vi, una carta de mis cartas favoritas de la edición Chaos Legion. Vamos a ver lo bueno y malo de esta carta y finalmente valoraremos si es recomendable usarla.

Silent Sha-vi belongs to the Splinter Death and is of common rarity. It has a mana cost of 5 points, plus 2 points of melee damage, 3 points of speed and 5 points of health.

Silent Sha-vi pertenece al Splinter Muerte y es de rareza común. Tiene un coste de maná de 5 puntos , además de 2 punto de daño cuerpo a cuerpo, 3 puntos de velocidad y 5 puntos de vida.

It has the ability Sneak at level 1 that thanks to its melee attack makes it a very dangerous creature if our intention is to place the weakest cards in the last position. At level 6 it gets the ability Cripple and at level 10 Piercing.

Cuanta con la habilidad Sneak a nivel 1 que gracias a su ataque cuerpo a cuerpo la hace una criatura muy peligrosa si nuestra intención es ubicar las cartas más débiles en última posición. A nivel 6 consigue la habilidad Cripple y a nivel 10 Piercing.

How to get the best results

All cards with the Sneak ability are especially dangerous but Silent Sha-vi is even better as it is a card with a moderate mana cost but with good stats in attack, speed and life. If we add to that that his stats increase as he levels up, he becomes a very powerful monster.

Todas las cartas con la habilidad Sneak son especialmente peligrosas pero Silent Sha-vi es aún mejor ya que es una carta de un coste moderado de maná pero con buenas estadísticas en ataque, velocidad y vida. Si a eso le sumamos que sus estadísticas van aumentando según va subiendo de nivel, llega a convertirse en un monstruo muy poderoso.

We can combine it with other cards with the Sneak ability to destroy the enemy rearguard, such as Uraeus, Sand Worm or Undead Badger.

Podemos combinarla con otras cartas con la habilidad Sneak para destrozar la retaguardia enemiga, como es el caso de Uraeus, Sand Worm o Undead Badger.

It is always advisable to protect it to the maximum since it is possibly the card that will give us the victory.

Siempre es recomendable protegerla al máximo ya que posiblemente sea la carta que nos de la victoria.

As an example I am going to analyze this battle in which you can see how both my enemy and I use Splinter Death and our Silent Sha-vi. I have observed his last games and I know how he is going to play so I keep a little surprise for him.

Como ejemplo voy a analizar esta batalla en la que podeis observar como tanto mi enemigo como yo usamos el Splinter Muerte y a nuestro Silent Sha-vi. Yo he observado sus últimas partidas y se como va a jugar así que le guardo una pequeña sorpresa.

Summoner: Zintar Mortalis

This time I'm going for the Zintar Mortalis summoner. My intention is that his creatures do as little damage as possible.

Esta vez me decanto por el invocador Zintar Mortalis. Mi intención es que sus criaturas hagan el menos daño posible.

Position 1: Cursed Windeku

Cursed Windeku is the best card that combines attack and defense, its Thorns ability will be very useful.

Cursed Windeku es la mejor carta que combina ataque y defensa, su habilidad Thorns nos será de mucha utilidad.

Position 2: Corpse Fiend

We want to protect our Silent Sha-vi as much as possible, so Corpse Fiend is ideal for the opponent to lose an attack with it.

Queremos proteger al máximo a nuestro Silent Sha-vi así que Corpse Fiend es ideal para que el oponente pierda un ataque con él.

Position 3: Silent Sha-vi
Third position for Xenith Monk, perfect thanks to his healing. We will have time to defend ourselves while our creatures attack.

In third position we will use Silent Sha-vi, a perfect place to be well protected and do as much damage as possible to the opponent's creatures.

En tercera posición usaremos a Silent Sha-vi, un lugar perfecto para estar bien protegido y hacer todo el daño que pueda a las criaturas del rival.

Position 4: Soul Strangler

*In fourth position we will use Soul Strangler for its low mana cost and ranged damage.

En cuarta posición usaremos a Soul Strangler por su bajo coste de maná y su daño a distancia.

Position 5: Uraeus

Fifth position for Uraeus, a creature similar to Silent Sha-vi but with a little bit of shield that will come in handy in case they manage to destroy our last position creature.

Quinta posición para Uraeus, una criatura similar a Silent Sha-vi pero con un poco de escudo que nos vendré fenomenal por si consiguen destruir a nuestra criatura de última posición.

Position 6: Crypt Beetle
And finally, the surprise that the enemy does not expect, Crypt Beetle. Thanks to his Shield ability and the melee attack reduction of our summoner, it will be very difficult for them to hurt us from behind.

Y por último la sorpresa que no se espera el enemigo, Crypt Beetle. Gracias a su habilidad Shield y la reducción de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo de nuestro invocador, será muy difícil que nos hagan daño por la retaguardia.

Combat comments: As you can see the strategy is very simple. Our tank does as much damage as possible to the creatures that attack or attack him, while Silent Sha-vi and Uraeus destroy the creatures in the last position of the enemy and as we know that the enemy will try to use the same strategy we make sure that we do not receive damage thanks to Crypt Beetle.

Como podéis observar la estrategia es bien sencilla. Nuestro tanque hace todo el daño posible a las criaturas que ataque o le ataquen, mientras Silent Sha-vi y Uraeus destruyen a las criaturas en última posición del enemigo y como sabemos que el enemigo intentará usar la misma estrategia nos aseguramos que no recibimos daño gracias a Crypt Beetle.

As expected, the combat is resolved in our favor, thanks to the strategy employed.

Como era de esperar el combate se resuelve a nuestro favor, gracias a la estrategia empleada.

My opinion

The Chaos Legion edition has greatly enhanced Splinter Death, and cards like Silent Sha-vi have become essential to play.

La edición Chaos Legion a potenciado mucho al Splinter Muerte, y cartas como Silent Sha-vi se han convertido en imprescindibles a la hora de jugar.

This and many other cards are good as long as we use them wisely and with a strategy in mind. We must analyze the last games of the opponent, what cards he usually uses and thus adjust our strategy to how the enemy plays. That will assure us a victory.

Tanto esta como otras muchas cartas son buenas siempre y cuando las usemos con cabeza y con una estrategia en mente. Debemos analizar las últimas partidas del rival, que cartas suele usar y así ajustar nuestra estrategia a como juega el enemigo. Eso nos asegurará una victoria.
