Why shouldn't I burn my Gladius cards? (EN-ES) 🤔
Hello Splinterlands friends, one more week I present you a new Social Media this time with a new and current topic, the Gladius cards.
One of the new updates that are on their way will make it impossible to burn Gladius cards to get DEC, instead we will get merits. A controversial decision and one that has caused many users to quickly burn their cards for rewards.
My Gladius card collection is not very extensive, I have been playing the game for about 2 years and 1 year and a half in the Fallen Angels clan. In all that time I have been able to get a decent amount of cards but none of them that were anything special.
Honestly since I joined Splinterlands my goal was to have fun so I do not plan to burn any of my cards and now that I use them regularly both in Brawls and Ranked.
Hola amigos de Splinterlands, una semana más os presento un nuevo Social Media esta vez con un tema nuevo y que está de actualidad, las cartas Gladius.
Una de las nuevas actualizaciones que vienen de camino hará imposible el quemar las cartas Gladius para obtener DEC, en su lugar conseguiremos méritos. Una decisión polémica y que ha hecho que muchos usuarios quemarán rápidamente sus cartas para obtener recompensas.
Mi colección de cartas Gladius no es muy extensa, llevo jugando aproximadamente 2 años al juego y 1 año y medio en el clan Fallen Angels. En todo este tiempo he podido conseguir una cantidad de cartas decente pero ninguna de ellas que fuera algo especial.
Sinceramente desde que me uní a Splinterlands tenía como objetivo divertirme así que no me planteo quemar ninguna de mis cartas y más ahora que las utilizo con asiduidad tanto en Brawls como en Ranked.
Why shouldn't I burn my Gladius cards?
I was analyzing for a while to burn my Gladius cards since I could get most of the cards back quickly due to the good results we are getting in the Fallen Angels clan, but in the end I decided not to do it for these simple reasons.
Gladius cards are extremely powerful and it is easy to win with them. In addition to leveling them up they become even more powerful so playing with one of them at a high level allows us to have an advantage against our enemy.
Soulbound summoners are the real reason why I didn't want to sell my Gladius cards. I intend to get all of them at maximum level and in order to get the full potential out of these summoners I must have all Gladius cards at a good level.
The battle condition Are You Not Entertained? allows us to play with Gladius cards without the need of Soulbound summoners. So it is very common to find spectacular battles in which the use of the Bloodlust ability is paramount to win our battle.
My card collection is not very extensive, I don't have a lot of resources so one way to cope with this handycap is to use Gladius cards.
Estuve analizando por un tiempo quemar mis cartas Gladius ya que podría volver a conseguir la mayoría de las cartas de forma rápida debido a los buenos resultados que estamos obteniendo en el clan Fallen Angels, pero al final decidí no hacer por estas sencillas razones.
Las cartas Gladius son extremadamente poderosas y es fácil ganar con ellas. Además al subirlas de nivel se vuelven aún más poderosas con lo que jugar con una de ellas a un nivel alto nos permite tener una ventaja frente a nuestro enemigo.
Los invocadores Soulbound son el verdadero motivo por el cual no he querido vender mis cartas Gladius. Tengo la intención de hacerme con todos ellos al nivel máximo y para poder sacar todo el potencial a éstos invocadores debo tener todas las cartas Gladius a un buen nivel.
La condición de batalla Are You Not Entertained? nos permite jugar con cartas Gladius sin la necesidad de los invocadores Soulbound. Así que es muy habitual encontrarnos con batallas espectaculares en las que el uso de la habilidad Bloodlust es primordial para ganar nuestra batalla.
Mi colección de cartas no es muy extensa, no dispongo de muchos recursos así que una forma de poder hacer frente a este handycap es el uso de cartas Gladius.
Combat with 2 Gladius Cards
Playing with one Gladius card gives you a lot of advantage but being able to do it with two allows us to set up a very solid combat strategy with extremely powerful cards that with each card they destroy will become even more powerful.
In the combat that I share is a clear example of how the good use of these cards allows us to achieve a quick victory.
Jugar con una carta Gladius te da mucha ventaja pero el poder llegar a hacerlo con dos ya nos permite montar una estrategia de combate muy solida con cartas extremadamente poderosas que con cada carta que destruyan se volverán aún más poderosas.
En el combate que comparto es un claro ejemplo de como el buen uso de estas cartas nos permite conseguir una rápida victoria.

As I have already said there are extremely powerful Gladius cards and being able to combine several of them allows us to finish our enemy quickly.
One of my favorite cards is undoubtedly Isgald Vorst which has abilities that make it perfect for any type of battle. In this combat I will use it together with Relenor Cleaver another huge card that allows us to use it from the second position with very powerful attacks.
In the first turn all the cards are concentrated in hitting Night Ghoul and the touch of grace is given by Relenor Cleaver that manages to activate Bloodlust. In addition, the use of Swamp Spitter allows me to regenerate the shield of some of my creatures to try to reduce the damage caused by my enemy.
The combination of Isgald Vorst and Deeplurker is wreaking havoc by mercilessly hitting the weakest cards, and while Relenor Cleaver continues his efforts to activate Bloodlust and become the most powerful card in this fight.
Finally, in the third turn Relenor Cleaver activates Bloodlust for the third time and gives me a very simple victory in which the use of Gladius cards has marked the fate of the battle.
Como ya os he dicho existen cartas Gladius extremadamente poderosas y el poder combinar varias de ellas nos permite acabar con nuestro enemigo de forma rápida.
Una de mis cartas favoritas es sin duda Isgald Vorst que tiene unas habilidades que la hacen perfecta para cualquier tipo de batalla. En este combate la usaré junto con Relenor Cleaver otra carta descomunal que nos permite su uso desde la segunda posición con unos ataques muy poderosos.
En el primer turno todas las cartas se concentran en golpear a Night Ghoul y el toque de gracia lo da Relenor Cleaver que consigue activar Bloodlust. Además el uso de Swamp Spitter me permite ir regenerando el escudo de alguna de mis criaturas para intentar reducir los daños causados por mi enemigo.
La combinación de cartas Isgald Vorst y Deeplurker está haciendo estragos golpeando sin piedad a las cartas más débiles, y mientras Relenor Cleaver sigue con su empeño de activar Bloodlust y volverse la carta más poderosa en este combate.
Por último, en el tercer turno Relenor Cleaver activa por tercera vez Bloodlust y me da una victoria muy sencilla en la que el uso de cartas Gladius ha marcado el destino de la batalla.

hmmm interesting choice to not burn them because you could burn them and buy other cards in the marketplace. You're also not playing GF frays so do you really need the Gold foil gladius cards?
I have some golden Soulbounds summoners and I can use them in Tournaments along with Gladius cards. Also, sometimes we need to fill the GF frays, especially now that we are penalized for not filling them.

hmmm I guess that makes sense. The way I saw it just burn then later you will keep opening gladius packs and eventually get them back but it's all good. Nothing wrong with your plan. That' the beauty of this game there's many ways to play and utilize the in game assets
