Splinterland Social Media Challenge; River Nymph Card.

So how did I encounter Splinterland, I was pretty new on hive, back then I never knew what Splinterland was all about, naive you might be, haha. But I got to experience the thrilling excitement of gaming, I was never a gamer mind you but the Splinterland game changed how I view games, first off it was one of the easiest thing to do, the NFT game is all about cards, it's more like a chess game, where you literally pick you cards or team and allow them battle against your opponent. It was something I really found interesting because I had never entered such a method of gaming.

But what's more motivating or thrilling this the fanart, I have always been one for art, Splinterland gives that opportunity to express craft or art work freely, at first I was contemplating between drawing or just sharing my first time experience with Splinterland, and my mind was like why not do both, so here I am.

So I decided to draw the card River Nymph This is one character I like on the card. The river nymph coexists in water, they give vibes of mermaid even, they are reserved but yet firecrackers because they are fiercely protective of their home if they ever find any threat.

First I love to start my drawing with a rough sketch using pencil to draw first, so I really had to crack my head a bit for this one. I wanted to give her a more modern style.

Then I proceed into using a dark pen to trace the pencil work doing a neat job by not getting it all messed up..

Then the harder part was the coloring, but I was able to get that done in no time, I have to say I love the outcome of the world. Hope you like this too.
