Target Practice ruleset in Splinterlands - this ruleset can play a big role

So folks we are in another week of Splinterverse! Rebellion packs are still for public sale, but there are less and less available. Roughly 150k at the time of writing. The release of Land should be near, but am I the only one still eagerly waiting for the Tower Defense game? :(

This week's ruleset: "Target Practice"

It reads: "All ranged and magic units gain the Snipe ability."

Not more. No advice of how to take advantage of it. Just "Snipe" ability for all units attacking by ranged and magic attack.

So for a better understanding just adding what "Snipe" ability reads like: "Targets the first enemy Unit with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that is not in the first position."
Thus all units not in front just became more vulnerable. However magic (and ranged) attack units also become stronger by hitting the sweet spots for your opponent's lineup.

Let us look at one of my battles with "Target Practice" ruleset here:

Let's assume my opponent feared that his magic and ranged attack units would have been targeted by my Snipe units. Anyways he aimed for my backline.
I however went with a (nearly) magic exclusive setup. Following my units got all "Snipe"...

However Round 1 went good for me and my most valuable unit Regal Peryton. Regal managed to dodge multiple enemy attacks.

While I was not able to utilize my newly gained "Snipe" abilites I attacked my enemy's main line. And I did it with success. In Round 2 I already got past my opponent's "main tanks" and attacked the heart of his lineup. While my backline was still held by Regal Peryton.

Only in Round 3 I lost my first unit: Regal Peryton had finale left the board. while my 0 mana cost main tank still held its position and was about to attack the left-overs of my opponent's lines.

In Round 4 at the latest it was foreseeable how the fight would end. Just compare the gap between each combatant's accumulated firepower.
And yes: I won!

So... this battle was somehow fresh as I saw a lot of older units I have not faced in battle for a while.
However "Target Practice" played no role in this battle. It was the choice of lineups that made "Target Practice" ruleset irrelevant, this time. Still I think it is not one of the most relevant ruleoptions. Again...

But do not get me wrong! Contrary to other rulesets I think this ruleset CAN play a big role. Just not that often...
