Protecting Your Assets

With the rapid growth of Splinterlands and the value of cards skyrocketing, I am taking it upon myself to ensure my assets are safe.

With the Locking feature, you have the ability to "lock" your cards from 1-30 days to help protect your assets from hackers and other bad actors that may try to take advantage of new and existing players. For some of the locking features, please see the screenshot below:

There was word this morning that a high-value account was hacked by someone and they began selling their cards on the market. I am not certain of the specifics around that, but it just reminded me to reevaluate my card collection and put some safeguards in place by locking cards in my collection that are high-value.

If you are not aware of this feature, please check it out and make your decisions accordingly. By locking your cards, it does prevent the ability to sell, but if you do not plan on selling any cards or certain cards in your collection, I don't think it would hurt to have that extra level of security in place.
