Brawl Report #12

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners.

Brawl fights

There were 4 that I won and 1 that I lost. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match and there isn't much I can do against my opponent. He had a good mix of melee/magic monsters and Silent Sha-vi was too deadly.

You can find the second match here. I won this match and I won because of the resurrection. It gave me more of a buffer and the heals/repair made this a fairly long match. My melee damage did pull me through in the end though.

You can find the third match here. I won this match and my tank did such a great job of taking hits. The enrage only made her stronger and combined with bloodlust, I was able to take out Arkemis and later his gladius monster.

You can find the fourth match here. I won this match due to my magic lineup. There wasn't much my opponent could do and I was hoping to have the martyr help me dodge more ranged attacks. It ended up not being that helpful because my opponent didn't last that long.

You can find the fifth match here. I won this match and quite easily. My opponent didn't have many cards and I could heal any damage I take per round so this was a sound victory.

Brawl Result

I choose the gold foil modern brawl and I got 4 wins and 1 losses. I managed tow in over half of my matches again so it was a good result. My rewards for the brawl were 2,250 merits and 17.139 SPS in the 2 star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards so I am guessing that we placed 2nd or 3rd place in brawls. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls.

Conclusion

My performance wasn't that great and it was a bit worst than I expected. The SPS and merit rewards are up and I don't think we placed 1st this time around. So I think we placed 2nd place this time around. I think brawls are a great way of earning SPS and merits for the number of battles you participate in. So I think it is worthwhile for people to participate in these brawls. My current brawls are in the two star category.
