Brawl Report #13

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners.

Brawl fights

There were 1 that I won, 1 that I lost and 1 that I won by my opponent surrendering. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match and there isn't much I can do against my opponent. The magic damage just killed me and the damage my opponent put out was just too much for me. My idea to use armor and repair along with tank heal just did not work out. It was a little league match so I was limited in my choices.

You can find the second match here. I won this match and I won because of the gladius monster. Bertrol Gobson was a murderer in this little league match with its opportunity card. With that, I was able to stack up that bloodlust and it was the right choice to put failed summoner in the 2nd spot. It was just a battle of endurance until I won the match and I did lose quite a few cards. At the end of the match, Bertrol had 6 attack and it killed 4 of my opponent's 6 monsters.

Brawl Result

I choose the gold foil modern brawl and I got 2 wins and 1 losses. I managed to win in over half of my matches again so it was a good result. My rewards for the brawl were 1,950 merits and 20.956 SPS in the 2 star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards so I am guessing that we placed 2nd or 3rd place in brawls again in brawls. Since merits went down, I think the SPS increased to compensate but I don't know how that math is decided. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls.

Conclusion

My performance wasn't that great and it was a bit worst than I expected. The SPS and merit rewards are up and I don't think we placed 1st this time around. So I think we placed 2nd place this time around. I think brawls are a great way of earning SPS and merits for the number of battles you participate in. So I think it is worthwhile for people to participate in these brawls. My current brawls are in the two star category.
