Brawl Report #15

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners.

Brawl fights

There were 2 that I won, 3 that I lost, and 2 that I won by my opponent surrendering. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match and there isn't much I can do against my opponent. The extra speed helped out my opponent more and he didn't use any magic monsters. I missed a few times as well so I didn't have much help with the RNG.

You can find the second match here. I won this match and Keyla is such a great summoner. The +1 speed and armor definitely helped because I was able to take out my opponent without too many issues.

You can find the third match here. I lost this match and there wasn't much I could do against the Taunt plus Reflection Shield combo. There was explosive weaponry so all monsters got blast.

You can find the fourth match here. I won this match and the demoralize plus repair was quite amazing. It was a long match but I won in the end because I limited the damage that my opponent did.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match. That shield tank was too much for me because I couldn't finish that off. This let my opponent deal a few turns with a lot of damage. I did play a sneak strategy but it wasn't enough for me to win.

Brawl Result

I choose the gold foil modern brawl and I got 3 wins and 3 losses. So I managed to get half of my matches as a win for my guild and that was my goal. My rewards for the brawl were 2,250 merits and 22.46 SPS in the 2 star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards so I am guessing that we placed 1st or 2nd place in brawls again in brawls. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls.

Conclusion

My performance wasn't that great and it was a bit worst than I expected. The SPS and merit rewards are up and I don't think we placed 1st this time around. So I think we placed 2nd place this time around. I think brawls are a great way of earning SPS and merits for the number of battles you participate in. So I think it is worthwhile for people to participate in these brawls. My current brawls are in the two star category.
