Brawl Report #57 - First time fighting in 4 star brawls

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I missed my previous brawl so I am glad that I was able to make it to this fight. Even if I did lose all of my fights.

Brawl fights

There were 2 fights that I won and 6 that I lost. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match and I got destroyed by that Gobson in the back. My opponent also had a level advantage so there wasn't much that I could do.

You can find the second match here. I won this match barely because my opponent missed a few attacks. Other than that, I would say that I got lucky and I won despite the level disadvantage.

You can find the third match here. I lost this match and it's another level disadvantage. I couldn't do much when my opponent moved faster than me. In the end, it came down to our bloodlust monsters on both sides.

You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match due to the level and speed disadvantage. Jacek is quite powerful as it cut through my armor and my cards just ended up dying.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match but it was a closer match compared to the rest. I still lost in the end because my opponent had slower monsters and that poison definitely hurt.

You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match because my opponent used a summoner with return fire. All of my damage was countered and there wasn't much that I could do.

You can find the seventh match here. I lost this match because my opponent had too many magic monsters. I couldn't do much against my opponent as he directly hit my monster's health directly.

You can find the eighth match here. I won this match because of my summoner. Adding in shield to my bloodlust monster definitely helped me. This allowed me to delay the match and I had a stun monster. With the heavy hitters ruleset there, I was able to deal extra damage when that first monster was stunned.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern brawl and I got 2 losses. The brawl was about the same as last time with me losing most of my matches. My rewards for the brawl were 1,952 merits and 39.649 SPS in the 3 star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards but I think we ranked quite horribly. It's our first four star brawls and a lof of us were losing our matches when I checked the points on the day that I submitted my fights. We also had a few people who did not submit their fights and I am kind of glad that we are moving back to 3 star brawls.

Conclusion

My performance was bad this time around and I lost most of my fights. At least I didn't lose every single match and 4 star brawls has a lot more active people. It's a lot more fights than usual because I don't remember the last time I did 8 fights for a brawl. I think brawls are a great way of earning SPS and merits for the number of battles you participate in even in the 4 star category. It was a tough brawl and I am just glad that I didn't get wiped out in every single match.
