Brawl Report #59 - Getting destroyed in 4 star brawls

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I missed my previous brawl so I am glad that I was able to make it to this fight. Even if I did lose most of my fights.

Brawl fights

There were 1 fights that I won and 4 that I lost. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match and I am severely limited in my magic only matches. So I am not surprised that I lost this match.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match and I already knew that I was at a disadvantage due to the level disadvantage. I was hoping that Alva would be able to stall long enough, but it just didn't have enough damage. We both were relying on our tanks as we both used cleanse and tank heal.

You can find the third match here. I won this match but it was a really close match. My bloodlust monster barely managed to survive and my choice of summoner allowed it to survive long enough. Otherwise, I don't think it would have survived the match.

You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match due to the level and speed disadvantage. My opponent just killed me off way too fast.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match and I couldn't do much against all those magic monsters my opponent had. With all those tanky monsters, I couldn't do much against my opponent.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern brawl and I got 1 wins and 4 losses. The brawl was about the same as last time with me losing most of my matches. My rewards for the brawl were 2,857 merits and 74.328 SPS in the 4 star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards but I think we ranked better than our last time in 4 star brawls. These 4 star brawls sure are tough.

Conclusion

My performance was bad this time around and I lost most of my fights again. At least I didn't lose every single match and there were slightly less fights this time around. I think brawls are a great way of earning SPS and merits for the number of battles you participate in even in the 3 star category. It was a tough brawl and I am just glad that I didn't get wiped out in every single match. Let's hope that my next brawl is better.
