Brawl Report #64 - Just 1 win again

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners. Rebellion has also changed the battles and I just keep losing my fights recently. It doesn't help much but I only got 1 win again which is the same as my last brawl.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern brawl and got 1 wins. My rewards for the brawl were 2,762 merits and 44.371 SPS in the 4 star category. My guild ranked 9th place out of the 9 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. It's the first time I have seen us as the last place guild.

Brawl fights

There were 1 fights that I won and 6 that I lost. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match and my opponent just had a speed and damage advantage. There wasn't much that I could do as the earthquake also dealt decent damage against me.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match and I couldn't do much against the weapons training. My opponent just had more damage than me and it was another earthquake battle.

You can find the third match here. I won this match because Chaos Animator had void and this reduced the magic damage down and then I got my bloodlust monster to get some stacks and the martyr also helped to increase it's damage. Along with that, the poison reduced both sides and I won out due to this.

You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match and there wasn't much I could do against Quora and Immortalis combination in a magic-only match.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match and my opponent just had the stronger lineup. The damage and the summoner ability my opponent had was just too much.

You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match and Katrelba Gobson was too strong. That bloodlust adds up from it's double strike and sneak ability.

You can find the seventh match here. I lost this match and opponent just had too much damage because of that weapons training ability.

Conclusion

I think doing 6 fights for 2,762 merits and 44.371 SPS is a pretty good reward for the effort. I didn't do very well in my fights as I only won 1 fight. It also looks like my guild members also didn't do so great as we got last place in this brawl. It was a tough brawl for my entire guild and I hope my next brawl goes better.
