Brawl Report #67 - Winning over half of my matches for the first time in a while

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. It was a nice brawl where I won more than half of my matches

Brawl fights

There were 4 fights that I won and 3 that I lost. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I won this match easily because my opponent used a bunch of melee monsters during a back to the basics ruleset. After all, they don't have the other abilities to attack from the back.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match and my goal was to outlast my opponent. This ended up failing though because of that heal from his summoner.

You can find the third match here. I won this match because of bloodlust. It just took out that healer and it gave me enough time to kill my opponent. The weak magic ruleset ended up helping me as my opponent had to get rid of my armor before he could damage me.

You can find the fourth match here. I won this match but it was close. My bloodlust triggered quite a bit and that was able to give me enough damage to barely win the match. I was worried because of all the magic monsters.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match and luck was not on my side. I missed a few attacks and my opponent just overwhelmed me with the magic monsters.

You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match it and I picked a bad lineup. My opponent just overcame me in damage and I didn't have enough damage.

You can find the seventh match here. I won this match because of my summoner. It did a great job decreasing my opponent's damage and it let me kill my opponent before he could kill me. Using Arkemis for the protect did help my survivability.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern brawl and I got 4 win and 3 losses. I didn't do so well but I didn't get completely wiped. So that is at least a relief. My rewards for the brawl were 3,524 merits and 62.419 SPS in the 4 star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards but I think we did not rank last place. However, I still think the rewards weren't that bad.

Conclusion

My performance was bad again this time around was great and it looks like I was placed in the bronze brawls. When I am not being bogged down by those levels, I am doing way better in the matches. I think brawls are a great way of earning SPS and merits for the number of battles you participate in even in the 4 star category. I don't know which area I will fight next time but I am just glad that I had a great brawl for the first time in a while.
