I got lucky in the Frontier Draw again with my first Black Foil card

Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each card has its own uses, and there are multiple ways to earn cards from purchasing or opening packs. One of these ways is the weekly Frontier Draw, where you can get entries from the daily quest every single day.

Frontier Draw

Every single week, 76 cards are released to people who submitted entries into game mode. You are given a Black Foil, Gold Foil Arcane, or Black Foil Arcane card from the Frontier set if you are picked. No matter which of the three you get, they will come as maxed level, and they have their own benefits when used in ranked battles to increase your rewards.

My First Black Foil

The first Black Foil card that I got is Port Guardian. I use this from time to time in fights, and I think it's a fairly decent card. It's tanky, and when mana is available, I think it's a good choicee of a tank to use. This allows my magic monsters to deal more damage. I won my first Gold Arcane two weeks ago, so I was not expecting to win this week. I am glad that I did win, even if I did not expect it.

This is the number of entries that I have gotten out of the total entries over the past week. Since there are only 76 winners, it is rough to be picked. On average, I get around 18 entries while the total is about 37k per week. During the week that I won, I noticed that the number of entries dropped quite a bit to 30k instead of the usual 36k or so.

Despite being a common card, this card is worth $3.9. This is about half the cost of the Gold Arcane, but that is to be expected since Black Foil is worth less compared to the Arcane cards.

Conclusion

This was a great week as I got my very first black foil card in the game. It's just an extra bonus for doing Frontier quests and my focus on trying to max out my Frontier deck because they can be used in Modern. The level cap is not as high as other cards, but I still think that they can be quite good because I haven't been buying as many cards lately. The chances are slim, but I feel that people should continue to collect those tokens because you never know whether or not you will get lucky. This is the second time that I got lucky with that Frontier draw.
