Splinterlands 42th Season of Glint, Merits and SPS

The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I didn't get as many fights as I would like in Modern because I have been more focused on Frontier. I decided to go back to my strategy before the cards in modern format changed, and decrease my league if I am close to the boundary. I was unable to go back to Silver II this time around.

Season Rewards

I ended up with 4,951 Glint for last season, which is less than what I was getting before. I felt that things were slightly worst this time around, but it might have just been my luck. I didn't do many fights until the end of the season, but it was harder to move up this time around.

I did get two league advancement rewards in Modern. It wasn't as good as last time because all the cards were pretty much common cards. I also didn't get the 3rd advancement reward because it was hard to move up.

I went for one epic this time. I felt that getting some epic cards (which are rarer from advancement chests) was the better choice. This card looks decent, but it's a dragon card, and I don't use them much. I do think the stats are quite good as it has both flying and immunity. So there are quite a few good rulesets for it.

Gladius Packs

I got 3 packs this time around, and the opening seems slightly better than last time. There was one epic card. Overall, it seems like brawls weren't as great this time around, so it was one less pack.

I was able to upgrade Pallidon Rakk to level 6. This gave the card one more health. It's too bad that my summoners in Modern can't play this card, and I can't use it in Brawls due to my placement in gold foil frays. Also, I don't use this card often because there tend to be better tanks in my Earth deck.

SPS

My SPS rewards were higher than last time. It looks like brawls are up, while ranked is down.

I plan on staking all of the SPS I got from staking for a total of 122.897 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected if I factor in the time difference.

Conclusion

This season had its good sides and bad sides. I didn't get to Silver II, but my gladius case opening was decent. It's too bad that I didn't have much time because I rushed the ranked battles on the last day to get to Silver. There just wasn't enough time to consider Silver II, as it was quite late at night already. It's the holiday season, and I just haven't been playing as much.
