Splinterlands Eighth Season of 2023, Gladius Packs and SPS

The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I stayed in Silver rank for the entire season and collected a bunch of Silver chests for my own rewards. The CP strategy isn't for me but you can view this post if you want to do it. I have noticed that the rewards in silver are worst than I believed but it could just be my bad luck.

Season Rewards

Compared to last season, my rewards are worst than last time. I got fewer cards and no chaos legion packs or gold foil cards. The amount of SPS increased though and the merits are about the same compared to last time. It looks like I just got a bunch of potions to replace the SPS or cards this time around.

Gladius Packs

I was able to collect three packs this season which was the same as last time. My latest brawl was quite good as my guild placed first and I would say it's about average luck this time around. I did get another copy of Quora but it's still not enough to make a level 3 and I still need one more copy to get there. I was hoping for some legendary or gold foil cards but I am still having no luck on those cards.

I was able to upgrade 1 card and it was Betrol Gobson. I already had a gold foil version of this so it was kind of wasted and the gold foil card starts at level 3. Either way, it's nice to have the card upgraded and it looks like I could have upgraded it last time but missed it. I think it's fairly good card because opportunity monsters are always nice. However, I don't use this card much because I feel that there are better options such as Quora.

SPS

There are some changes to the UI and I like the current look of the system more than the previous one. The SPS rewards are higher than last time and I think a moderate amount of time has passed because my numbers have gone back to normal. The numbers on all the various stats have gone up and I am sure that my brawl rewards are amazing this time around.

My pool rewards for the season is 107.381 SPS and I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards. As usual, I am staking my SPS and taking profits off of GLX. So nothing has really changed from last time. I used a portion of my VOUCHERS on the new promo card and I had to buy some off the open market. Either way, I am still gathering more VOUCHERS for the next promo card.

Conclusion

Going forward, I will be sticking with the Silver League. Either way, I think the rewards are down and I am sad that I didn't get any packs from my season rewards. The difference in earning from gold and silver is quite large so I am missing my previous rewards. I did buy into the new promo card this time around but I had to invest some money on the side to make that work out.
