Splinterlands: Kulu Mastermind is an amazing card
Splinterlands is a complex game and it allows for various different cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various different rulesets applied and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle that I had and it's about the card Kulu Mastermind.
Featured Cards
Kulu Mastermind is a reward water splinter that costs 9 mana. It has the ability weapons training and opportunity from the very first level. At level 2, it learns shield and at level 4, it learns enrage. As a damage dealer, it's a good choice and I like how it can target the backline of my opponent.
Rule set, Battle and Plan
The ruleset this time is Manuevers and Unprotected. This means that there is no armor and all monsters gain the reach ability. There are 39 mana available and I am left with the choice of fire, water, life, death, or dragon splinter.
Splinter | Mana Cost | Position | Reason |
---|---|---|---|
Possibilus the Wise | 6 | Summoner | +2 Health and Trample |
Chaos Rear Guard | 4 | 1st | Shield |
Coastal Sentry | 10 | 2nd | Double Strike |
Baakjira | 6 | 3rd | Slow, Strengthen and Void |
Kulu Mastermind | 9 | 4th | Weapons Training and Opportunity |
Merdaali Guardian | 3 | 5th | Tank Heal |
Hardy Stonefish | 1 | 6th | Filler |
Total Mana: | 39 |
I used Possibilus the Wise as my summoner my monsters gains +2 health and trample. I have a shield monster up front to delay the fights. Then I have Coastal Sentry with double strike after. I have two monsters without attack which gives some great supportive abilities such as slow, void and tank heal. These monsters will get melee attack due to Kulu Mastermind and it's weapons training ability. The last spot is just a filler monster to at least delay the sneak monsters.
Round 1
It looks lI have an advantage over my opponent. I have a level advantage to an extent and my opponent already made a mistake by placing a monster with protect because it doesn't matter due to the ruleset.
Round 2
I killed off two monsters from my opponent and since my lineup is based on melee attacks, it will depend on whether or not I can land my attacks. I did miss a few attacks already.
Round 3
I didn't miss any attacks and I was able to take out most of my opponent's monsters. The trample did great work to deal damage against my opponent and my opponent can't attack anymore. So this match is my win now
I was able to win the match later this round.
Conclusion
The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. The trample worked out well with Kulu Mastermind because it was able to take out a few monsters. The supportive abilities also came in helpful as it helped me move before my opponent and keep my monsters alive. The weapons training ability would have been more useful if I lost more of my monsters but I am glad that I got a solid win.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.

Kulu Mastermind must be a very wonderful card
Thanks for the explanation and I’m glad you won
Yea. It's a fairly strong card under the right situations.
Using Possibilius in a no shield match is a no-brainer, especially with the coastal sentry there. You completely destroyed the opponent
Yea. That combo is deadly and I like using it often in my matches.
