Splinterlands: Moxian Rebel is an amazing card for those monsters with no attack

Splinterlands is a complex game and it allows for various different cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various different rulesets applied and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a neutral card that I have been using in the Rebellion deck. This is a part of the weekly social media challenge.

Featured Cards

Moxian Rebel is a rare neutral card that costs 4 mana. This card has the weapons training ability from the start and learns camouflage at level 4. This card doesn't have very high stats but the weapons training ability has been quite powerful lately after seeing it in action. I only have mine at level 1 though so it's 1 health is a problem as it dies quite fast. The good thing is that weapons training stays in effect after this card dies and can't be dispelled.

Rule set, Battle and Plan

I used Conqueror Jacek as my summoner for the +2 speed, scattershot, and pierce. This will let my monsters attack first. My lineup starts off with Grum because of how tanky it is and the target practice helps me out because it can't miss either. Then I have a cleanse monster to remove poison on Grum. Next I have my immunity monsters and Moxian Rebel for the weapons training. Lastly, I have a taunt monster so Grum and the rest of my cards survive longer.

Round 1

It looks like my opponent also has two immunity monsters but I should have an advantage in damage due cleanse so I have three monsters with immunity. I also have a speed advantage over my opponent so it will depend on what happens.

Round 3

I skipped over to Round 3 because it was just a battle of endurance. That Raa in the back is quite annoying as the damage can add up and the taunt doesn't attract all the damage. I have gotten a bloodlust and both teams are still going to need a few rounds to finish the match.

Round 5

Two rounds later, I dropped my opponent down to 1 monster left. I still have two immunity monsters and one cleansed monster up front. There is no way for me to miss so many attacks due to my speed advantage.

A few rounds later I was able to win the match.

Conclusion

The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. Moxian Rebel died off quite early due to the poison but the weapons training gave two of my monsters magic damage. It all adds up as monsters tend to die off quite quick in these poison matches. It especially helped out on my Grimbardun Smith that had immunity. It's extra damage every single round.
