Splinterlands Second Season Rewards of 2024, Gladius Packs and SPS
The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I stayed in Silver rank for most of the season and advanced a few days before the end to get some gold chests. My rewards are still lower than I would like but I was able to get to Gold II at this season. I moved up to Gold rank a few days early and I stopped fighting on the last day so I wouldn't get kicked down to the lower league.
Season Rewards
Compared to last season, my rewards was more disappointing and I also got 3 less chests as well. There were no chaos legion packs again this time but there was an epic card. There is about the same amount ofSPS and more merits this time around. The potions are also slightly higher but the number of cards is a lot lower compared to last time.
Gladius Packs
I was able to collect 3 packs since the last time I opened packs. It's too bad that I didn't get enough cards to upgrade any cards this week. It's a bit surprising to see that the card opening system went back to the single cards again. I prefer the way it was last time when it would show which cards that I had multiple of. My guild has started 4 star brawls and it's been tough. We haven't been getting as much SPS in our first 4 star brawl but I expect us to be in 4 star brawls more often. So I am not sure how many packs I will get.
SPS
The rewards were slightly lower for everything. I hope next season will be better but I also think that there was less time between posts so that might be the difference in the modern fight rewards. As I said before, brawls are suffering after we moved to 4 star brawls.
My pool reward for the season is 108.070 SPS. I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards for a total of 235.646 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected because there was a lower time between posts. I stacked up the VOUCHERS but I skipped out on the wagons for the airdrop. I don't have enough packs or high-collection power cards to make it worth it. I should have probably sold my VOUCHERS but it doesn't hurt to stack up on it instead.
Conclusion
Going forward, I will be sticking with the Silver League and moving up to gold on the last few days. If I can move up early, I will during the last few days. The rewards are slightly worst than last time. So far, out of 15 claims, 6 of them were good. The quality of the chests does matter but I don't know how things will go because the fights have become more competitive as people rush into modern ranked battles. I have finally reached Gold II again but I won't know if it will improve my rewards until next season though.

Win more fights. It's tough when I am at a handicap because of my rebellion cards being so low level.

It's not that big of a profit. I think the season was a bit lackluster, but I can't complain. Luck is just luck.
I got 37 chests but they weren't any better too. I think the reward last season was straight up disappointing. I got only one common gold card, one epic and nothing more exciting. I'm also moving 2 to 3 days to gold 3 before the end of the season
It's tough for rewards. I think moving up early made it much easier to advance. At least I wasn't rushing 40 battles on the last day.
