Splinterlands Social Media Challenge: Chaos Animator is great with Thaddius Brood
Splinterlands is a pretty complicated game and there are some interesting battles with all the options available. This is a part of the weekly social media challenge for Splinterlands. This week the topic is a great battle that I had recently.
Featured card: Chaos Animator
The card that I am focused on is Chaos Animator. It's one of the Rebellion cards and I got one copy of the gold foil version of this card. It has amplify to start. It learns void and redemption later when leveled up. It also doesn't have any attack as well so it is generally used as a support monster.
Rule set, Battle and Plan
The ruleset this time is Ferocity and Keep Your Distance. This means that all monsters deal more damage against taunt monsters and no melee monsters can be used. There are 15 mana available and I am left with the choice of any splinter except for earth.
Splinter | Mana Cost | Position | Reason |
---|---|---|---|
Thaddius Brood | 4 | Summoner | -1 Magic and Health |
Ahna-Chei Botanist | 2 | 1st | Blind and Return Fire |
Chaos Animator | 3 | 2nd | Void and Amplify |
Ravenhood Warden | 4 | 3rd | Protect |
Weirding Warrior | 2 | 4th | Shatter |
Total Mana: | 15 |
I used Thaddius Brood as my summoner so that my opponent loses 1 magic and health. My lineup starts off with a Ahna-Chei Botanist for blind and return fire. Then comes Chaos Animator in the 2nd spot. The amplify will boost any return fire damage and it also has void to reduce the magic damage. Then I have my ranged damage dealers that has protect and shatter.
Round 1
My opponent is using the same summoner but it sucks for him because he is using a magic lineup. It's too and that return fire won't be doing anything but at least I have more damage than my opponent. I just have to worry about that poison damage.
Round 2
Both me and my opponent lost one monster. I do have void up front so I will be given 2 turns to take out my opponent. That poison is the only dangerous thing to me right now.
Round 3
I was able to take out the poison monster so this match is my win because my opponent can't damage me anymore.
I was able to win this match later this round.
Conclusion
The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. It's too bad that my return fire didn't work out because my opponent didn't use any ranged monster but my backup Chaos Animator with void combined with my summoner reduced any magic damage to zero. I got lucky and poison did not land on my Chaos Animator so my opponent couldn't kill off my Chaos Animator. This let my ranged monsters deal damage and finish off my opponent. I had quite a few things worked out for ranged monsters because my summoner already provided some protection against magic but I am glad that I did have a backup for magic.

Ok. I will start changing that starting from posts tomorrow.
You had an interesting gaming session and it's certain the card you used helped you win the battles you won. I wish you more luck for next time you play. Have a nice day.
Yea. It was a good fight and I am glad that my strategy did work out
When that void magic of your summoner came in first place, I thought it was already too late for you. Void magic can be annoying to play against.
It's a good ability to have but it sucks to fight against.
You’re a fantastic player
You’re just too good
I like that!
