Splinterlands Weekly Challenge Battle BATTLE MAGE SECRETS! Noxious Fumes

Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge to share a rule set using a specific card and on this week's post it is a battle with the Noxious Fumes rule set. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because you get to try different strategies and earn some crypto in the process.

Rule set, Battle and Plan

The ruleset this time is Fire & Regret and Noxious Fumes. This means that ranged monsters will take counter damage and all monsters start off poisoned. There is also 40 mana available and I am left with the choice of water, life, death, or dragon splinter.

The summoner I choose to use this time is Possibilus the Wise. In a match like this, I think that having an extra 2 health will be useful and I will also get trample and reach on my melee monsters.

Ice Pixie26thDamage Dealer
Total Mana:40

My plan is just to have a lineup using a Diemonshark up front as my tank with Coastal Sentry after it to deal massive damage per round using double strike. After that, I have River Hellondale with the inspire ability to increase my melee attack and support cards with cleanse and tank heal to keep my tank alive. Lastly, I have Ice Pixie up in the last spot because I want it to resurrect without poison (if it dies first).

Round 1

round 1.png
At the first glance of my opponent's lineup, I think I have the stronger lineup because of the damage that I can do per round. I have an effective damage of 18 damage so I shouldn't have too many issues taking out my opponent so long as I get rid of his first and third card. On the other hand, I also don't have to worry much about damage from my opponent either.

Round 2

round 2.png
I haven't taken much damage and I am slowly making work on his front-most tank. Other than missing one attack, everything has gone all according to plan so far.

Round 3

round 3.png
The trample combined with my damage dealers made quick work of my opponent's cards and my Pixie should also resurrect without poison. Given the speed difference, I think that I have this match won. I don't think it's possible for me to miss that much and I have way more damage than my enemy can take. In the off chance, that my melee monsters die, I should also be able to kill off his last monster with my Pixie.

Just like I thought, I won without too many issues and I didn't miss any attacks.

Conclusion

The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. The lineup I went for had a lot of damage while my opponent was focused more on trying to survive. Unfortunately for my opponent, that damage was too much for him and I made the most of all my abilities. I had support cards to keep Diemonshark alive and my resurrect also gave me a backup magic damage dealer until the end of the match.

You can see my entire match here.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players play in a ruleset.

That your lineup is deadly, I will be so fucking mad if an opponent beat me up in that manner which is why I can't stand Possibilius and that silly Costal Sentry.

Great victory!
