Splinterlands Weekly Challenge Battle! SUPPLY RUNNER

avatar

Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge to share a battle using a specific card and on this week's post it is the Supply Runner card. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because you get to try different strategies and earn some crypto in the process.

Featured Monster: Supply Runner

Supply Runner is a neutral monster that cost 6 mana. The stats are fine as a 6-mana monster but I think the lack of skill at the start is an issue. At level 5, it learns swiftness and at maxed level, it learns strengthen. So if this card was properly leveled up, it would be a great buff card on your side. As a neutral monster, this card can be used with any deck so it can be quite useful.

I don't use this card often because I have a large number of cards available to me. For a card without any skill, it's not very appealing and I would have to bring this card up to level 5 for the swiftness buff. Most of my chaos legion cards were gathered from opening packs and I don't have nearly enough cards to bring it up to that level.

Rule set, Battle and Plan

rule set.png

The ruleset this time is none. I have 34 mana available to me and I can choose between fire and death splinters. So I can play any cards I would like so long as I am within the 34 mana cap.

The summoner I choose to use this time is Yodin Zaku because I love using this card. It's blast, +1 ranged and +1 health are amazing in fights. It's a pricey card but I did get a copy from opening untamed packs and I have been using it ever since.

SplinterMana CostPositionReason
Yodin Zaku7SummonerBlast, +1 ranged attack and +1 health
Grum Flameblade111stGreat tank with bloodlust
Furious Chicken02ndFiller monster to take a hit
Lava Spider33rdSnipe ranged monster
Supply Runner64thDamage Dealer
Ferexia General55thSnipe Ranged Monster
Goblin Fireballer26thRanged filler monster
Total Mana:34

My plan for the match can be found above. With Grum, I have bloodlust mixed in with blast so it has lethal potential if it can kill enough monsters. Then the rest is just damage and snipe monsters. I highly prefer snipe monsters because they end to hit in the middle of my opponent's lineup so it helps quite a bit in maximizing my damage.

Round 1

At the first glance of my opponent's lineup, I believe that I have won this match because Yodin is amazing and I only have 1 melee monster for his Disintegrator to debuff. Of course, I think it will still depend on whether or not my backline lives long enough but I don't think there will be any issues.

Round 2

round 2.png

I was able to take out the Serpentine Spy before it could attack and that greatly increases my chance of having my backline live. I haven't lost a card just yet and my Grum is looking great even if he takes out my backline.

Round 3

round 3.png

I was able to take out the disintegrator and get two extra blood lust on my Grum. So there is no chance of me losing this match.

As I expected, the match ended without a chance for my opponent to counterattack.

Conclusion

The battle this time did not go as I expected. I thought my opponent would have more ranged monsters but he had mostly melee cards. So my snipe monsters were not optimizing damage much. The only upside is that my snipe was able to finish off serpentine spy early on and it contributed a lot to make the fight easier for me. Besides that, Grum was amazing because he had a great chance of getting off more bloodlust due to the enemy targetting my backline. When he took out both the Living Lava and Disintegrator, he was able to get up to 6 attack and 3 speed. Supply Runner did a great job as a damage dealer and it helped me whittle down the Living Lava and Disintegrator for Grum's bloodlust.

Yodin made this fight a lot easier due to the blast ability and the extra ranged damage. The extra +1 health was also useful as it was the difference between 2 cards dying in the first round and not. I think my opponent's lineup was also quite good but it was expecting me to use physical cards. So that lead to his downfall as my backline survived and he was not able to negate my damage.

You can see my entire match here.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.

5 years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Dont we pay them to stop shit like this? The NSA, CIA, FBI, Police and our Government has done nothing. Just like they did with the Havana Syndrome, nothing. Patriot Act my ass. The American government is completely incompetent. The NSA should be taken over by the military and contained Immediately for investigation. I bet we can get to the sources of V2K and RNM then. https://peakd.com/gangstalking/@acousticpulses/electronic-terrorism-and-gaslighting--if-you-downvote-this-post-you-are-part-of-the-problem
