Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! | Exploding Rats
Right now we are experiencing a typhoon and probably will leave on Monday hopefully! But on the good side, the rain is calming and cold. I just had a bowl of spicy ramyun yesterday. 😙
For this week, I chose exploding rats! 🐀💣
I thought of drawing explosives and wrapping them with the rat's tail. For the rat's lineart, I used the symmetrical ruler. On the explosive, I first drew one using the shape tool. It is easier since I have a reference. I drew the two subjects in different layers so I could adjust them later.
After doing the lineart for the explosive, I colored it and did some shading. I piled every layer in a folder. I then copied and pasted it twice to make two more explosives. I then drew a black tape around them.
The color of the rat is color picked from the original card. I colored the inner ear and chest with a little purple color. For the hands and feet, I airbrush a brownish-orange color. I chose a neutral gray for the background.
Final Art
Let's make this rat more explosive! 😆 On a layer clipped to the body layer of the rat, I airbrushed a bright yellow in the ears, face, and body. On another layer, set it in glow mode and I airbrush a bright orange. I added some hints of red too. The same procedure goes for the explosives.

So you’re an organized artist. My layers are just piled on top of each other, I don’t even rename them. Then later I will have a hard time navigating🤣
As cute as the rat looks, he still looks like he’s threatening you with the bomb. Haha one wrong move and you’ll explode. So cute🤣
I don't also rename them haha 😆 I piled when I copied and pasted some layers. But in CSP there is a shortcut key for looking at the specific layer. 😁

Ahhhh, here in our place, nag start umulan kani kanina lang pero ang init pa rin, pawis na pawis na me kahit kakaligo lang ee haha. Pero not sure if madadasnan lugar namin ng typhoon pero ingatsu sa lahat!
Anyways, why the, why this is so kawaii, haha. Love the light reflecting on that rat, para syang very divine haha
