Happy Friday!

You see, I skipped Week 225 🤣 Not because I do not have the time, but I was unmotivated for a minute. I promised to myself to be back on track this month. Finger crossed that I will not miss an entry for the whole month.

This time I want to draw Cornealus in my anime style. Been using this style for a while now, and I really really like it! 🥰 Maybe I will stick on this style and let's see what will happen.

Sketch and concept

I was thinking, what if Cornealus was in a human form? Perhaps, an alien? Hmm, so I have an idea on mind to make Cornealus in human form in my anime art style.

On this art, I will be more focusing on her left eye. Using g-pen, I roughly skecth what would be the position of the hair, face, and the eye. Those swirls are the tails of Cornealus.

First thing's first! The base color. I chose the pastel-ish color this time. For the blue hair, I color picked for the original art's background. Its got a hint of mellow cyan. Don't you think cyan is the color of the futuristic future? :D No? Fun Fact: It is one of my favorite color.

I used a darker color for the shading. Tip! If you are lazy like me, color-pick the base color, put the layer into multiply, and lower the opacity to 50 percent. Tadaaa~ instant shadow. 🤣

I like the shadows of the face to a bit soft, so I used an airbrush. I airbrushed the corners of the face.

The white of the eyes are not really white. Do you agree? I use a grayish-white instead.

In the second picture, I erased some of the shadows using an airbrush. I also colored the tails and add shadows. For the eyebrows and the outline of the eyes, I picked a darker cyan. Noticed that I added the blood shots on the white of the eyes, but in purple color.

Woop! It is coming to life, haha. For the purple of the eyes, I used a dry brush. This is to create an illusion of roughness to the eyes. I darkened the corner of the eyes in dark brown. I blend the color to make it soft. I then added the shines using g-pen and airbrush.

I airbrush a purple-blue on top of the hair too. :D

Final Art~

I airbrush a little bit more dark shade of the hair because I want my logo to pop. 🤣 Just kidding! I added extra bangs and blur it. I added shine for the hair and erased the ends to make it looking soft.

It is unoticeable but if you look closer, there are white dots in the eyes. Very tiny.

I airbrush more drak brown in the corner and polished the skin. I use the magic liquify to make the eyes bigger.

Tadaaa~ Finished!~
