In The Slums of Bronze III

Howdy folks!

Another day in wonderful Bronze III Land...where folks like us are down and out, looking for the climb to the paradise above. Yes it's a dog eat dog world here.

Yet today was a profitible day. Started out converting all my low-end unused tokens received from tips into Hive, then used it to buy some SPS and stake it into my account.

If you didn't know, I came into SL without any start-up capital, solely using my earnings with the video content i put out on Hive to fund my playtimes here.

I decided to get SPS and not DEC to stake because i'm in it for the long game. Even though DEC has gone up in price, that's only because of the current air drop event; when the air drops are over DEC will most likely drop back down to $1 for 1000 DEC. I could be wrong of course.

Next was the daily quest. "wtf will it be today???" Turns out it was the Sneak quest which i completed with flying sparks.

I wanted to try and get to Bronze II before i opened those chests (I have a Quest Potion at the ready), so I did some more battles. I got real close to getting out of the Slums of Bronze III...but in the end the Slums got me once again...

Though I've had some very fun battles (replays below)...

I'm rather a late starter on Splinterlands 101 myself. I got a handful of Chaos packs but have yet to open nor have gone through my first quest yet.

Yeah from what i hear, its better to buy cheap single cards (especially single gold foil common cards) on the market rather than buying packs. ROI's are better.

What i'm aiming to do is to get some summoners. I like the DEATH types as i love dishing out DEATH. Though i've been told to get the Lorna Shine summoner as she gives the "Divine Armour" buff.

I was looking at some youtube vids too and there are beginner vids where they suggest you get certain cards. You could check em out.

As for boosters, each booster has 5 cards, so to increase your slim chances of getting legendaries and gold foil cards, you need to get 5 legendary potions and 5 alchemy potions each time you open one pack.

That's a lotta Hive to be spending on this stuffs. My Hong Kong side shouts loudly: "FUCK DAT!!!"

So what i do is buy a load of quest potions instead for 750 DEC (which is around 2.5 Hive). These give you 5 extra loot chests for your daily quest rewards, totally 6 each time you complete the daily quests.

Have fun and i'll see you round in the Slums of Bronze III, where our skulls shall get bashed for fun.
