Lineup:

Summoner: General Sloan

Sloan buffs my ranged attacks

Tank: Chaos Knight

Chaos Knight has the Shield ability which is so powerful when you expect a lot of melee or ranged attacks. It also helps to reduce the damage from earthquakes.

1st position: Portal Spinner

The Spinner hits hard for just 5 mana and has a relatively low life total which is a good combination for the Equalizer ruleset. The Scattershot ability adds an element of uncertainty to the battle which can work out really well or it can be a complete waste. It should be remembered that Scattershot ignores taunt which is often a great help.

2nd position: Time Mage

Moves fast and slows down my opponent. Even though it doesn't have a ranged attack like most of the monsters who pop up frequently with Sloan this card is too good to pass up. It's a good indicator that you're dealing with a great card when it's on both sides of the battlefield.

3rd position: Divine Healer

The Tank Heal ability can be hit or miss in the Equalizer ruleset. When it's good, it can be very good.

4th position: Pelacor Arbalest

6 damage when combined with Sloan and just 2 starting health. This monster is made for the Equalizer ruleset.

5th position (rear tank): Venari Crystalsmith

This monster combines a ranged attack with the Tank Heal ability.

Did my strategy work?

Not this time. I am consistently impressed with the Truthspeaker when I face off against it. I think it made a big differeence for my opponent.

Do I like Portal Spinner?

Yes. I think the Scattershot ability was a very creative addition and adds a great level of variability to the game.

What will I try differently next time?

We can see that the Truthspeaker was great for my opponent. I think that would have been a great addition to my lineup in this battle. Maybe in place of the Divine Healer or the Portal Spinner.

Nice post. You may not have won but you did well. Having the Portal Spinner so close to the front line was a disadvantage. Maybe placing it back in your lineup it would have played out differently. But great battle. Keep fighting!
