Here's the ruleset

Lineup:

Summoner: Kretch Tallevor

If you've read my other content, you may know that Dragons are my favorite splinter and you may know that I usually go with Delwyn as my summoner.
The advantages of Delwyn are the magic buff and the fact that I have a level 4 Delwyn which allows me to use a level 2 Chaos Dragon.
I chose Kretch over Delwyn here because of the Silenced summoner ruleset and because I'm playing in a brawl with level 1 caps. The remaining advantage of Kretch then is the lower mana cost.
Prince Julian is a strict upgrade over Kretch with respect to the mana cost, but I have no intention of spending $11k for a copy of Prince Julian in the immediate future. If you have great aspirations of playing with Prince Julian it only costs 36 cents to rent for a day.

Tank: Robo-Dragon Knight

Robo-Dragon Knight is such a great tank in so many ways. The biggest priority in a proper tank is to be able to take some hits. Having Void is outstanding. I generally like to have the Void or Shield ability on my tank depending on what I expect from my opponent. If I'm facing something besides magic from my opponent then the Dragon Knight comes with Divine Shield at level 1, so the first hit's always free. The Dragon Knight also has a high shield total and a high life total. 3 melee is solid if unspectacular, but the attack is possibly the least important part of Robo-Dragon Knight as a tank.

1st position: Sand Worm

Sand Worm hits the rear tank hard. Even with my opponent demoralizing my team.

2nd position: Queen Mycelia

All of the monsters with the Protect ability are great. The best one is Queen Mycelia and the next best is Venari Wavesmith because their attack ignores the sort of armor that they give everyone and can be attached to a summoner that increases it even further. Queen Mycelia takes that cake because of the lower mana cost which allows placement in Little League matches and Queen Mycelia scales better with additional premium abilities when leveled up.

3rd position: Wood Nymph

Magic damage and healing for a superb tank in this battle.

4th position: Goblin Psychic

Magic damage and healing for a superb tank in this battle.

5th position (rear tank): Chaos Dragon

image.png

It looks like the Chaos Dragon is ever so gingerly stepping on the opponent's team. I generally focus on the incredible attack from Chaos Dragon. That's definitely diminished with a level 1 Kretch as summoner. 3 magic damage is still strong. The other stats on Chaos dragon tend to be neglected. Plenty of armor, a nice life total and flying add up to make this monster hard to deal with.

Did my strategy work?

Yes, I beat my opponent even with their fantastic gladius monster in 1st position. My guild will have a level 2 store next season and then my opponent's really need to watch out.

Do I like Robo-Dragon Knight?

Yes, this is an incredible monster. The 11 mana cost is difficult to cover so it's not always the best choice, but if the mana cap is high enough it's often an easy choice.

What will I try differently next time?

I made a lot of great choices for this battle. If I had it to do over again then I think I would choose Robo-Dragon Knight and Queen Mycelia again. There's a little more flexibility in the other positions for these particular circumstances, but they all worked out well for this battle.

Thanks for reading and thanks for all the upvotes, reblogs, comments and follows. I'll see you in the game.
