My Battle With RIVER NYMPH: Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge

How are you, friends? I am fine. Today I am back with this week's battle challenge. Due to some busyness, posting the battle challenge is a bit late. Splinterlands challenged RIVER NYMPH for battle this week. Through this post, I will show how my battle was with River Nymph. I will highlight the key moments of the battle.

First of all, the mana limit of the battle was 20. A maximum total of 20 mana costing six cards can be selected.

Target Practice: Ranged and magic attacking cards will have snipe ability.

Even Stevens: Only Monsters with even mana cost can be used.

The reason for this summoner choice?

VERA SALACIA
Since I am a new player, I don't have any other cards except the starter pack card and summoner. So I rented some cards to play this game. I rented Vera Salacia as the cheapest summoner. I chose this as it is my only summoner.

Since this was a low mana battle, I used cards that cost less.

The reason for this monster choice-

1. Spine Back Turtle

This is one of the best cards I've seen for a low cost. This is only a four-mana costing card. I have battled with a Spineback turtle of level 4, which had seven health and three shields. It also had the Thorns ability. I chose this card because of the low cost.

2. Furious Chicken

I didn't have to spend any mana on it because it's a 0 mana cost card. I chose this card because I didn't have to pay any mana but field a position to save other monsters.

3. Medusa

I used this card for my battle because it is also a low costing card. I used level 3 Medusa. It had stun ability.

4. River Nymph

As a low costing card, it can cleanse, removing all types of adverse effects. I used it because of its remarkable ability and low cost.

5. Naga Windmaster

This is the only ranged attacking card in my lineup. It has the Headwinds ability that can reduce the ranged attack of opposing monsters. Since there was target practice in the Battle rule, I thought the enemy team would come with some ranged attacking card, so I chose this card.

Key Moments Of This Battle

Round-1

  • River Nymph makes the first attack. The opponent's Venari reduced Bonesmith's two life. But the next attack is made by Venari Bonesmith. It hit my team's Medusa, and Venari Bonesmith's Life Leech ability gained one life after the hit. Then Naga Windmaster hit the opposing Venari Bonesmith. At this stage, the opponent's Cursed Windeku hit my team's Spineback turtle, but the Spineback turtle's shield did not reduce its life. The Spineback Turtle and the opposing Cursed Windeku both had the Thorns ability, which reduced the hitter's life every time a melee attack hit it. The opponent's Arachne Thug hit the Spineback turtle again, but it couldn't reduce the life this time. But Spineback destroyed all the turtle's shields. On step 16 of the 1st round, Medusa hit the opponent's Venari Bonesmith. Venari Bonesmith lost all life from this blow and died through it. The Spineback turtle makes the last attack of the first round.

Round-2

  • River Nymph and Naga Windmaster attack the opponent's Cursed Windeku. After that, the opponent's Cursed Windeku and Arachne Thug hit and killed my team's Spineback turtle. After the death of the Spineback turtle, Furious Chick comes in as number 1. It also killed Medusa's opponent Cursed Windeku. However, due to Cursed Windeku's Thorn's ability, Furious Chick also dies.

Round-3

  • Once again, River Nymph and Naga Windmaster attacked first again. They attack Arachne Thug. Later Arachne Thug hit and killed my party's Medusa.

Round-4

  • River Nymph and Naga Windmaster remained in my team. They beat and killed Arachne Thug.

Round-5

  • The only opponent left was Corpse Fiend. It couldn't last long, though.

Result

I won the match, but it looked like I couldn't win this match. The opponent team made some mistakes, so I won the game.
