What a Season! | Splinterlands
To say the current season coming to an end in less than 24 hours is tough is an understatement.
I fight in both the Wild and Modern formats of the Gold League, the reason I fight in both formats is to switch over to the other format when the battles get tougher beyond my fighting capabilities.
It has been a strategy that works well for me and it helps me to accumulate the minimum 50 season chest target I set for myself. But unlike last season which I was able to accumulate 58 chests, I have managed to accumulate 48 season chests currently with less than 24 hours till the end of the season. The 50 chest season minimum target is possible by the looks but I have to wait for a refill of my Energy bar as seen below.
This is the third time this season I had to stop fighting when I am left with 1 Energy. So far I have restrained from buying Energy, I need more DEC so I'd rather not spend on Energy if I can help it.
It has been a series of winning two battles to be followed by three losses and vice versa. Heaven knows how many fights it will take for the next 2 season chest I aim to accumulate.
The plan is to allow my Energy bar to replenish after hitting my target for a fresh start next season.
On the Battlefield
This was a painful lost, I had this battle but lost it due to the poison ability from URAEUS, it is never a good experience fighting against URAEUS with a poison ability. I tried to protect KATRELBA GOBSON but my protection strategy wasn't good enough and not good enough strategies don't win battles.
It was more about winning battles, it doesn't matter how as long as the battle is won. So in this battle I chose to sit back and strengthen CORNEALUS and QUORA with the Martyr abilities since they both have the healing ability to possibly withstand the poison ruleset.
These are just but a glimpse of how the battles are on the battlefield as we wrap up the season.

This season is tough but you have done well and you love using your Gladius I have been using mine too but the winning rate is not high yet

Thanks, I am enjoying the gladiators and I also try to surprise my opponents with it since not many of us are using it yet.

I prefer to stick it out to a single type and that is modern fights. However, it does seem like the fights are tough lately. You are making good use of martyr in your fights.
