THE BURIAL ARRANGEMENT IS GOING SMOOTHLY

Is a splendid Thursday and a happy new month celebration. Many things I've been running on my mind since this year begun, however, the whole stuff is coming to an end this week. It is about my grandmother's burial who died on the 14th day of November last year; she will be laid to rest on Saturday at my family compound.

Many may wonder why it would really concern me. Actually, the tradition in my locality led to my full involvement in all the activities. As a grandchild, there are certain things that is demanded by the community for you to do before your granny can be buried. My grandmother's burial has made me realize that are lots of works to be done in my locality regarding enlightening them on the recent happenings and why certain things should be nullified.

It is strange that as a grandchild you need to give drinks and a fowl to the youths of the community, you need to invite the youths to your family compound and treat them well. I am talking from the side of a grandchild not child of the bereaved. However, this activities has some age restriction. Above 20 years, it believe you are responsible enough to handle such; some the reports I heard, the community youths don't care to know your financial status, all you have to do is to give some drinks and a fowl, while hosting them in your family compound is optional. Sounds strange, right? For me, I feel my tradition is better unlike other African traditions which I may not have knowledge about.

Coming back to my week's experience, my siblings and I have been able to jointly host the youths, and buy all the needed items. As phenomenal as #Hive may be, I was stranded in doing my part. I was able to withdraw from my #HBD, swap.hive - which was converted from my second layered tokens, and I also withdrew from my #GLX wallet.

With this, I can confidently say that #Hive is a lifesaver. Even though it came to a point I ran out of everything, the monetary gifts from my friends also helped in a way to save me from shame. Earning both actively and passively from #Hive is joy I have and I wholeheartedly appreciate the initiators of this project. For communities like #leofinance and #Splinterlands, a big thank you to you and your team.

Conclusively, I want to use this opportunity to specially invite all my friends in #Hive to join me and pay the last respect to my granny this Saturday. Currently, all arrangements are going smoothly and we pray the weather will favour us on that day.
